But you missed one point to explain what was it indicating that you suggest the same thing further another one and you will get back your fingers...if we go with the anurag's personal thought and your explain..? I guess it is like he never quit smoking(writing) from inside and waiting for someone else to do the same so that gradually it become normalize to do such thing(writing such stories) ...(or it was trying show by influencing someone else to do so will indirectly express his Anuraag's agenda )😊

By helping someone else by making them quit smoking can bring his fingers back this symbolically may mean that now he want the redemption for himself and complete himself by sense of knowing that not only he has quit the smoking but he is helping others too so that others can also live normally and feel completed and changed like him.
