    As a heads up, if you’re going to follow this tutorial, you have to make the fabric 4” bigger than whatever size pillow you’re covering. If you’re cutting 2 in square corners out and then each side’s fringe is 2 inches, you’ll need 4 extra inches on all sides so the pillow fits. (I followed the video by only adding 2 inches on each side and the pillow did not fit)

    Maybe you could glue a zipper to it! :) I'm looking to make ruffle pillows but no clue how to sew and I know there's this fuse stuff, I forget the name, for people like me and you lol so I'm thinking king that could work. Or just stitch a simple stitch for the zipper 😆

    Would this work if I used old t-shirts?

  • @catswillruletheworld

    @catswillruletheworld

    I made a couple using shirts instead. Since I haven't made one with fleece yet I can't compare it, but I imagine the fleece would be easier to work with and would look neater in the end. I had to be careful with the fourth side, making sure to pinch the fabric so I didn't end up with gaps. I was worried I was gonna tear the fabric a few times, but haven't yet. Also since the fabric is thinner I don't know what kind of lifespan these pillows are going to have. But it can be done!

    Fleece is nice and soft and that's probably why they used it, I'm sure it would work with normal fabric but because fleece is so thick it might not come out looking as nice. Probably worth a shot though

    Fleece doesn't fray so that is why it is used. if you wanted to hem or serge the edges you could use something else.

    2 yards of each pattern seems like way too much for a 20 x 20 pillow. Was that a mistake?

  • @sukiloo24

    @sukiloo24

    2 yards is way too much, I think they just wanted to make it easy for someone who doesn't buy fabric all the time, but the language is confusing because the 2 yards is meant as 1 yard of each color, making it 2 yards---I would only go with buying 2/3 a yard each

  • @patriciasoodsma8359
