In this video I am making a shelf for tools in my workshop. I did not use any screw, wanted to make a light and strong shelf and decided to use dowel joint. I used Wolfcraft 4645000 Universal Dowel Kit. It works well with the marker(nail marker), I could not mark the middle point of 3 cm wide wood with this jig, you can mark 10 mm hole only, 6 and 8 mm are not possible. I used 3x4 cm pine wood, and 6 mm plywood. 6mm plywood is quite strong enough to carry the load. All other dimensions are in the video. I am satisfied with the result, but it was difficult and takes long time, I guess it would be easier with pocket holes.
