Great video. The small stuff is amazing to watch being made. There’s a fella named Joe Pie that has several videos of him making miniature versions of antique machining equipment like lathes. In one he single point threads a screw that size on a full size lathe. It’s probably more difficult on your little lathe because deflection from the flex is greater on less rigid machines. Maybe that’s why you used a die. Great video and awesome work

Always gets me that it takes $8K in tools to make a $10 part. And factories can churn out parts for $2 incremental cost, but retailers gouge the customer for $300 and it's back to hand making parts one-off.

When you get down to drills that are less then one millimeter most mills or drill presses can't run at the RPM needed for a drill that small. Running a drill too slow often leads to breaking, and these tiny drills break so darn easy. Having a tiny bit broken off in the tiny part that you've already spend hours on is no fun.
