Couple tips for swap meets and a few garage sales …never wear exp. jewelry, purses, clothing and “hats” that make u appear to have money. And never take out your money and count it in front of them not only is it unsafe and may be others around watching you, but if they see you have more money, they’re going to try to keep the price high. You spent A LOT on items at a swap meet that cost .50 to get into. Plus rehearse your lines like I did haha you ask so nicely and almost shyly instead of asking for lower make it a statement in your voice and have a go to phrase for asking for a lower price and if it’s still too high have another go to phrase that you can say and walk away without feeling bad. I use to buy something just to walk away from each booth because I felt bad. Not anymore! I feel like a snake sometimes I’m just that good now 😂 have fun!!!!

i also watch a lot of Collin Abroadcast, he goes abroad to fake markets and picks up stuff for the low. He on the contrary does make his counter offers a statement. He does it with a smile but he still does it. For myself I came to the conclusion that it differs per event/area. A flea market is different from a black market right, in a black market you can go hard to hard and in a flea market you have to be more shy and nice I suppose.

Don’t feel bad for paying up! The time you save by not driving around to garage sales and having such a curated selection to pick from is worth it. You support the vendors, double your money and be back home before 10am

100% correct. I'd rather pay up there and find some good items instead of driving around for hours wasting gas and not finding anything good. Plus if the vendor and I both make some money, it's a win win. 😊

I used the shoe Polish trick on a Coach Charles Bag, then I buffed it down with Dr Martin balm. Can’t even tell there was any wear. Turned $8 into $100.

What’s the name of that shoe polish?? My daughter’s Docs are a mess!! Also - congrats on that Disney Dooney! I have NEVER found one of those in the wild.

Ashley, you need to work on your flea market game. 1. Don’t wear a Gucci cap, that tells sellers that you have a lot of money to spend. 2. Walk away. If the price is too high, walk away. Let them make a lower offer. The flea market looked like there wasn’t very many people shopping so you had the advantage. 3. Don’t flash all your money when you are paying. Have $40 tops in your pocket when you get ready to pay. Use the “all I have is $40 left” tactic. 4. Remember many of these sellers talk to each other and give each other the heads up. “The lady in the Gucci hat has money to spend”. 5. Remember you garage sale tactics! 6. Try not to look so put together. But we all know you always look fantastic no matter what you are wearing. Wait a few months and try again. 😊. Great pick up on that military stuff! I learned a few new brands today.❤ya!

In the U.K. we have purses, wallets made by " Rendell " it has a Scottish terrier on the corner they are worth a lot of money

Fjällräven! The ä is pronounced like the e in "yell," so sounds like "Fyellrevin." One good thing to know is they cover everything with lifetime repairs (& rewaxing if it's canvas), so great products to find at a flea market. I used to work as a sales associate there, and honestly have yet to find their stuff out in the wild now that I do reselling.
