I wouldn't say it's useless, but you do have to use it over and over again for a long period of time to get a result. My leg hair has thinned and has no hair in places, but other areas are unchanged.

I think the thumbs down are from people that have used it and paid a lot for it.. Sounds like u havnt used urs as yet as u said ud be using it.😊

I got mine as a Christmas gift and when I use it on my arms I have to pass a long hair or two approximately 90 times to even singe the hair. And it's too small to cover big spaces meaning that you'll be there for a while. You can tell it's working by the burned hair that you smell. I use it on my chin because since I had my hysterectomy I've grown some black hairs that I can't see to pluck them out. The NO NO is great for that. I can't quite do the upper lip but I have very little hair there. Don't let it sit too long in one place or it will burn. Two days later you will have a burn mark where it burned you.

I have this and have gone over the same spot a ridiculous number of times and nothing is happening! I'd rather just shave.

I was looking at this video for my wife and showed it to her. It is very informative video and as a result we are considering this as a purchase.

Thanks Michael. There are a good few negative reviews out there, but I genuinely found that by keeping using the No!No! regularly over a period of months, hair growth is significantly reduced. The more you use it, the better it works.

don't ... very bad product . believe me I paid $289 Canadian for it and doesn't work . don't throw your money away. plus it will take you 4 hours to do one leg . and the hair will grow back in 3 days . I feel so stupid for investing my money on this shit. I took it back to the store where I bought from they refused to take it back and give me my money back . and the company in USA refused too.

why does the product look very different from the one i received as a gift for christmas. Mine is a very slim pink holder with attachments, i have tried to use it, but it doesnt remove my stubbly facial hair, what am i doing wrong. my product is a NoNo

rosanna hillier Hi Rosanna. I think it does help thin out hair growth - though it needs to be used regularly to do that - but I couldn’t be sure that it would get rid of stubborn hairs. If you end up trying it, let me know!

Would the Nono work on male facial hair? I.e tough stubble? I'm aiming to reduce shaving (I'm guessing it'll take a fair few sessions to take affect)

I would consider IPL for male facial hair. The NoNo would likely reduce it over time but IPL is must more powerful and effective

That's the snag it turns hair thinner and lighter which makes it harder afterwards to be treated by professional aesthetic or medical grade lasers and IPL

Resistance wire with an applied voltage.

I have one and it ran me over $400. I was ok at first with that, if and only if it works. But after a few months or so, it started crapping out. I went to the store and wanted to use the warranty to get some parts that would work. The lady at the desk said that's a bad way to use a warranty and to bring it in to get looked at. Well I never got the time and with the COVID 19 now I just never got around to it. So my warranty died. The No No is also a NO NO in other ways too. Now I would like to shove it up whomever sold it to me because it's too late to get a refund.

One thing to check is that the wire and various parts on the head are clean. Little things like that can stop it working. It’s really frustrating to spend a lot of money on something that doesn’t deliver though. Mine lasted the course. I used it on and off for two years before buying an IPL device which has made a big difference. I wish I’d started there. I felt the NoNo got rid of about a third of my hair growth whereas the Philips Lumea has shifted most of my hair.

princess of exo I can only share my opinion in and experience of products to help you decide. As I say on the review, if used consistently over at least six weeks, this will reduce your hair growth. The hair on my legs has thinned after continued use and is about half of what it was in volume.

Please anyone thinking of purchasing this, it's not a permanent removal. I found it did reduce the hair growth, but I still had to shave after using nono, although it did cut down on shaving time. You do have to keep purchasing blade refills which can also be pricey. I was happy with mine while I had it, I've had two, the first one lasted about 4 years, but unfortunately the replacement I purchased only lasted 6 months or so, then It stopped charging, so I'll try something else like a laser next.

I’ve done a few videos on my experience of using the Philips Lumea IPL which has reduced my hair growth significantly. I’m about to film a comparison with the Tria laser.

I got the first one from boots and except that is expensive doesn’t do anything .....you have to buy the heads all the time as they go off very quick ....after couple of months mine stoped working with no reason at all I went to boots they replaced it for me but also the second one after a year will not work ...... total waste better go for the laser

Thanks Mary. I’ve seen online people talking about the heads going. I’ve been using the same device on and off for 3 years with no problems - although I do take the head out and clean it after each use and I wonder if that makes the difference. Certainly the result is slow and gradual and I can understand why people lose patience.

Maria A It does reduce hair growth but you need to use it repeatedly over time. I’d love to try an IPL device. I had a few treatments in a clinic 10 years ago and it was less effective than the no-no. The technology must have improved since though.

It will gradually reduce hair growth anywhere, though for much heavier growth like a beard I would opt for IPL either in a clinic or I have reviewed the Philips Lumea on this channel which is really effective.

Donna Scuderi I have brought two of these. The first one was through infomercial in the early hours of the morning. I was promised my money back I think in 60 days. I stupidly didn’t try it in that time. When I did it wasn’t working I did call customer services who to their credit when I returned the faulty one sent me a replacement. Thinking lightening couldn’t strike twice. I didn’t try the replacement unit until about 3 months later. However the unit seemed to have EXACTLY the same fault but this time I couldn’t return it. I then got swept away with cleaver marketing and brought a second unit from a shopping channel. With the previous unit it just wasn’t working this unit it should have been able to keep the charge. I was able to use it for a very short time but there was a fault with it retaining the charge. Also the smell from the hair burning was unpleasant. I think it was the buffer that removed the hair. Very disappointing results there was no improvement, not to mention overpriced. I have since had a course of electrolysis and although it’s taken about 3 years to complete I’ve never regretted it.

I hate how is smells like burn hair it's disgusting.. as well as getting burns if not used a certain way, no no is a no from me, waste of money.

I think hair removal devices have come a long way since I filmed this review. It’s quite old now. I have had way better results with IPL and laser devices.

Stina Larsen Kind of you to say, Stina. I used the device for the time specified by the manufacturer so, as I said in the video, it thins hair growth but doesn’t stop it and you need to be prepared to use it regularly over a period of at least a few weeks to see results. I use an epilator in summer and the No!No! in winter and have reduced my hair growth significantly.

It certainly has a lot of critics. All I can say is it has thinned my hair growth but, as I make clear in the review, that was after repeated use over a period of weeks. Today I have bald patches on my legs after using the NoNo, but I also still have a lot of hair growth - particularly on my knees. I also tried IPL 15 years ago and got a similar result with some hair-free patches but continued growth. Technology may have improved since.

To be fair to the manufacturer, they don’t say the NoNo uses laser and neither did I in this review. The website says it’s a thermal device. It’s a product that splits opinion, but my NoNo still works three years on.
