That's the beauty of a country with the history of producing things that last a lifetime. It's still on the peoples blood. So if the modern industry don't produce good products, they do them their selves.

Well done, you are very creative and inspiring.
I .just love it when someone like you can make usable equipment from thrown out motors, and such! I try really hard to understand how you manage this, even though you have some skill with shop tools and I have very little. It broadens this 71 year old woman's horizons exponentially! Thank you for sharing. Every item people like you make teaches me what is possible, what tools to use, and how these constructions work! It's like discovering a galactic cluster when you just figured out what black holes were!

Put links to a couple of your other videos, especially ones that may be directly related to each other, in your video description. I am shure you are not meeting any safety practice and standard that is mandatory in the country i come from. BUT. Its very important, interesting and insightful seeing how things are made in practice. i think consumerism kills knowledge. and DIY and referring to the 'old books' even not less interesting old ussr stuff is an incredible valueable service for mankind. just the documentation of different designs and practices. this keeps up the craft AND the creativity. if everything is restricted- actually i could not imagine anyone knowing such stuff, just as in the city its hardly tolerated to boil steel in the garden....or stuff. for an informed audience its very useful. this all opens worlds for me. just ideas, practices, research starting points...

Couple of pieces of unsolicited advice/recommendations for you. First, if you play around with the punctuation and spaces ( commas, and extra spaces) you can the voice to sound a little smoother. It helps keep it from rushing into other words and sentances, similar to a human would speak. Second, I don't know what text-voice software you are using but some out there, e.g. Invideo, give you the ability to slow down, speed up the voice to sound more natural and select other types of voices. e.g. Female vs Male, higher pitch-lower pitch, etc... InVideo has a free plan to start with, play around with and see if you like it and then there are paid plans that give more features. Not real expensive. There are others out there that are free but features vary and how natural they sound is effected. You can also become an affiliate for these companies and show your links in your descritpion for subscribers that may want to do their own channel but not use their voice and you will get a commission (varies from company to company) for every signup.
I'm a machinist ..I always think about this innovation..but never put it into action..a few suggestions how about a threaded rod and a nut with a jig for holding your tool bit for turning mild steel or cast iron..

Thanks, great work. Please explain what metal you melted and what you mean by 'flux', and if 'soda' is sodium bicarbonate? And did you use sodium chlorine as the salt? What proportions? Thank you!
@mister-robo
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! The metal is ordinary aluminum cola cans. Flux is a composition for better degassing and melting of metal, it consists of ordinary kitchen salt and ordinary soda (other names: sodium bicarbonate, drinking or baking soda, sodium bicarbonate, Natrii hydrocarbonas). Ratio 1:1.

Very good. I have a lathe but found out doing something similar with a motor that you can get something just as true as on a lathe by simple means {saves setting up / good short cut}. Im surprised how people like you can getaway with things. Ive a habbit of wanting to make something better and as result screw it up. For example if you leave the Al in a metal crucible too long the ally goes "lumpy" absorbs the iron - so kudos to those who just melt it and pour. Secondly - you didnt show - but from melting ally with LPG when machining it i found all these little pin holes throughout the metal. They are called hydrogen and you have to purge it with special toxic tablets or use Argon {I just feed the argon into mix via old brake tube bubbling and stirring around}. I dont know if you had hydrogen bubbles {but wouldnt make much difference} or if your furnace has no water in its vapours.
@mister-robo

Thanks a lot! Come again, I will always be glad to see you on my channel! I did not have bubbles in aluminum, I used a flux when melting the metal (regular table salt and ordinary soda, in a ratio of 1: 1)🤖
