No more Dana 60 junk!!! New 14 bolt front axle build part 1 fabricating the truss

This will most likely be a 3 part video as there lots to do and will be broken up over a couple months waiting on axles, the Dana 60 ring gear just won’t hold up to the power level we are at anymore.

I'm gather parts to build a rear 14 bolt steer axle. But why not in your case just put dana 70 gears in the 60 housing? Jantz makes a kit.

No pinion support on a 60/70 I make to much power and the pinion was deflecting away from the ring gear stripping it out

Instead of wasting all that tape next time.. Just rough cut some cardboard so that it's over sized and fits around it---- then you can use a few pieces of tape to fill in the gaps along the edge for the detail; then just transfer that onto your next carboard as the final template. This way you waste minimal tape.

Tape is cheap and easier to work with cover the whole thing and then take a sharp razor blade and just trim out your shape and then the tapes transfers to your material and sticks to material

@@rosinsautofab1956 I agree.. Just fill most of your "tape" bulk in the center with cardboard.. or newspaper or something.. Just like when painting a car-- you don't cover the whole thing with tape--- you use paper or plastic and just tape the edges.

@@rosinsautofab1956 I'm too lazy to go to the store and buy poster board. .... cardboard it is then. :)

Ya being lazy only gets you so far, takes 5 min to swing into the dollar store on your way to work etc… poster board gives me nice sharp lines and transfers better to my material, I hate thick cardboard and a cereal box is only so big, thanks for watching and I appreciate the comments 👌

Haha, guess you don't care about quality. Literally, constructive criticism directly from one of your consumers. Which I could have surmised from that abortion of a truss you attempted. Thank God I can spend my time elsewhere, you are low of skill and low of character.
