I have a point system too! Well I call it a button system, for every 4 books I read or challange i can check off i get a button. For each button i can buy a book, but i am not allowed to buy more than 2 books at a time and need to finish those before buying news books even if i do have some buttons saved up. Seeing the buttons in the jars really motivates me but also keeps me ontrack with reading the books i bought

A point system for buying books is so smart! I struggle with impulse-buying books and manga, and something like that would totally help! Definitely a fun way to knock down a physical tbr!

Such a Unique and exciting idea Lily and I love the concept - I cant wait to follow along with your progress in 2024! I'm here cheering you on with this one!! I'm also challenging myself to get through some of my TBR Backlog and clear some of the series I have started in the Past couple of years and I know that 2024 is going to be another fab year for reading!!

I'm on a book buying ban as well. Not one book except for my friend's release that comes out in July. I've pre ordered it but Amazon won't charge me until it ships 😂

Oooh good luck with this! I'll be cheering you on and trying not to encourage too much book buying when we hang out 😂My plan for next year is to read some of the highly anticipated books that I've been wanting to read for ages but haven't got round to!

This point system works for me because most of my unfinished series are super long (so multiple books before I get the 10 points) or ones where the final book only came out a couple years ago (so I wouldn't get the veteran points). If you need to adjust points to match your TBR, go for it! I will review mine month to month and see if any point rewards need rebalancing 😊
