NO MORE Ballooning Tires! Pro-Line Racing Belted Trencher Truck Tires | RC Driver

As RC vehicles and electronics continue to develop, they’re getting faster and more capable. Today’s high-powered RC’s are a lot of fun, but still have some limits. One is what the tires can handle. With powerful brushless systems and high voltage batteries, the tires can balloon at higher speeds. So if you’re laying down some speed runs or getting up some speed for a big jump, the tires can ballon causing a loss of contact with the ground and sketchy handling. Pro-Line has seen the need for a more predictable and consistent tire. Their answer is belting one of their popular truck tires. We have the new Trencher HP 2.8” belted truck tire and give them a quick test to show you the difference between a standard tire and belted tire. Think you need a more predictable tire for your truck? Take a look at the Pro-Line Racing Belted Trencher Truck Tires.

I swapped the front to the rear and then those shredded. Please tell me the belted tires are better and is there an actual speed rated tire like in a real car tire like touring tires compared to Z-rated speed tires? I need tires that can run now.

Air control is mostly based on the weight of the tire. Centrifugal force is what makes you able to do backflips and such. These tires weigh more so than air control should actually be better. Just got my brother a set for his Stampede 4x4, so we'll see how much better or identical they do. If anything, I'd imagine much better but harder on the drive line. Fortunately me and my brother have modded the drivetrain to be capable of handling 6s power but only run it on 3. The biggest issue now is backing out screws, tires ripping away from the wheels, and motor shafts snapping. He only snapped one motor shaft thus far though but his Stampede will do 75 as it sits on 3s power. Even have GPS evidence. The other big problem is the wheelbase is too short for the power and it just wheelies over the wheelie bar like it's non existent. One of these days I'll post a video but I have no editing skills or programs to even do any editing.

I never really understood why good rc tires cost so much? They get comparable to real tires on a full size car. Even cheap car tires on a car have a ton more durability and quality then the best tires you can buy for an RC. Plus you get maybe 1/25th the amount of material in RC tires. No comparison! I just had to bring that up. Good video and it makes a world of difference having stronger better tires than that soft slop excuse for rubber tires companies love to sell us for our remote control vehicles. Especially the junk tires you get with many new RC cars and trucks!

Saint Kenny To answer your question, it’s all about💰💰💰. Every company does it with their products. You get the deal on the main part and then the necessary accessories are 25% or more of the cost of the product it’s for. In power tools, you can pay more for batteries than the new power drill it’s for and saw blades can cost almost the same as the saw. Printers are cheap and the ink cartridges are expensive, etc. They keep us coming back and make us pay for it. 💰💰💰

A trencher is a basher tire. Who cares about ballooning in a basher tire. Where this idea would work nice is in a race tire. I have problems with my race tire ballooning coming out of the turns witch makes my ass end slide. Driving a monster truck at 70 jumping 30ft in the air ballooning in not a worry lol

Yay for new tire choices coming out. Yay for those who wanted this. Yawn for trenchers..... again I still don't see the need for these, other than giving the people what they want. I'd like to see a weight comparison on the belted vs non belted tires. Rotating mass has to be higher on these bad bois

I'm not a fan of these. It's TRUE they dont balloon, but they are so stiff they make your car bouncy and the grip is not as good as regular trenchers. They just dont flex like the previous compound. I like the concept, but performance wise I like the previous trenchers better.

UPDATE! After discovering that these tires are nowhere near the same size and require re-gearing of my Rustler 4X4 VXL Pro-line refuses to refund my money. But only after accusing me of not reading their ad for the information that ISN"T PROVIDED and for not innately knowing that Pro-line tires "always"' come slightly larger than OEM. Then I was told they would do NOTHING for me unless I canceled my "Paypal dispute" with them. After quizzing further all they would do is give me 'Credit" toward another product of theirs. As IF I'll EVER spend a penny on their product ever again.

Don't buy them! They are NOT sized for the Rustler/Stampede. You need re-gear your RC to 'Lower' the gearing(make it slower) or you'll overtax your motor/ESC and cause costly repairs. That sure as hell nullifies their whole purpose IMHO. A total misrepresentation and con. Pro-line LIES! Never again will I purchase another item from those lying thieves. NEVER!
