Yesss. Several of my friend’s adult children address me by my first name. Totally disrespectful. I wish a kid of mine would. I blame the parents who are allowing it. They know damn well they didn’t do it. And one of them had the gall to argue with another friend about it. She actually was on her daughter’s side. SAD! When did we lose respect for our elders?

I never understood why, But as I worked with many staff members, who had no respect for certain older people . I asked: Why:? Most referred to their ancestors. For the reason why, certain elderly folks was not given respect . Just my analogy exposure
