No Love Songs: Backstage with John and Dawn

Take a trip behind-the-scenes of Dundee Rep Theatre's new production, No Love Songs with actors John McLarnon and Dawn Sievewright, which will receive it’s World Premiere as a part of the 2023 Traverse Festival programme, co-directed by Dundee Rep’s Artistic Director, Andrew Panton, and Associate Director Tashi Gore and presented as part of Made in Scotland.
The creative brainchild of Kyle Falconer (lead singer-songwriter of Scottish indie band, The View) and his partner Laura Wilde, with book co-written by Johnny McKnight, No Love Songs tells the brave and deeply personal story of love, new parenthood and deals with the subject of post-natal depression. Through a powerful blend of music, tears, and a lot of laughter, this original, gig-theatre musical follows Lana and Jessie as they learn to navigate the unique challenges of their new lives as parents.
Songs taken from Kyle’s hit second solo album are reimagined live on stage in this new and urgent musical, capturing the essence of love, parenthood, and the struggles that come with it.
