@@kasmopaya2676 It would throw up load of alarms like "motor disconnected" and "secondary restraint system off" and then it would just go in to limp mode and shut down. If you then restarted the car it would be fine again for a while. Apparently Tesla service changed all the wiring looms and most of the key components and it kept breaking down. The UK service team also linked the car to Tesla USA who also couldn't find the fault.

Amazing, great to see the Model 3 holding up so well. We only have 25.000 km on our Model 3 so far, it has been a blast. My dad just had his first service appointment at around 60.000 km / 2 years and they changed to left upper control arm under warranty (He does drive like a maniac, so no surprise there) other than that they cleaned the brakes and added new air filters, that is it after 60k km! Tesla sure did make a great car with the model 3.

The click sound when open and close the doors occurs as a combination of a built-in spring in the door stopper and a pin in a hole that has been worn a bit so there is a play between hole and pin. The combination of this play and the spring pull which alternates between pressing and pulling on the door gives the click sound. The solution is: a new part, a slightly larger pin or a slightly smaller hole. None of the last 2 are easy to perform.

@@bjornnyland Thanks a lot for pointing that out!!! Yes, that's true, but even so, we have to pay for it all, i.e., in other words, the energy that we have to pay for running the car it's the sum of the actual consumption, plus all the losses in the process of charging and using the car. Like so, how do the several OEM brands compare to each other, when we take in consideration not only actual consumption shown on the onboard computer, but also everything else? For example, as we see on your tests, heating and the different type of heating elements, play a big role in that sense , also internal resistance of the battery and others (although I think that all of those values are accounted for in the consumption shown by the onboard computer).

Slow charging with AC to 100% calibrates the battery and when you leave right away, there is not that much harm to the battery. Interesting. Fast DC charging is really not good. But does it really matter with the million-mile battery -> 4680. Probably a little bit. ABC -> Alway be Charging-AC.

Yes, it creates a DC current, but technically all charging to the battery is DC because even when plugging into an AC outlet there is an on board inverter to convert it to DC current. Obviously it is not at all the same as a DC fast charger.

Would you expect rust on a 2 year old car? Hopefully not, but in a 6 or 8-year-old car I would if it didn't have any rust protection from the factory.

@@bjornnyland Thanks for the answer. In DK they are also very happy with different kinds of salt solutions on the roads :-) With a moisture content of 85% in DK, Denmark lies in the "rustbelt" from Northern Germany to Southern Sweden. Mercedes experienced some serious rust problems with their E-class (also B and C-class if I remember correctly) from 1996-2003. I really hope the best for Tesla, that they don't rust. Especially since I'm the joyful owner of a TM3LR 2021. I got it Dinitrol treated in the doors, hood, trunk, wheel arches, bottom etc. It would be very interesting to see you make a rust-check on a TM3 again in a couple of years :-)
