Me too. I prayed for her family along with all the others. I can't imagine the pain any of the families are going through right now...my only solace is that they have Faith and faith can be their comfort right now. In my darkest times, I know that my Lord is with me. He is with them too. And I have zero doubt that Jesus was there waiting for those babies in heaven.

This country was just as divided just before the Civil War, so it's not accurate to say the country has never been this divided before. Haven't you ever read about the violent clashes between the militant abolitionists like John Brown and the militant slavers in the border states?

I'm not American but I've been so sad and mad and angry about this. So painful.

My husband was an Evangelical Christian all his adult life. Knocking on doors, hosting bible studies. At some point he felt he had enough with fraud and deceipt, from within the congregation. He started transitioning out; It was a very hard process for everyone. Both kids went to private, Christian, school their entire lives, so entering public University was difficult, but w necessary conversations to be had, before starting. Now, both kids are highly educated and successful. Interestingly, they are very accepting of people with other backgrounds, cultures, and even gender beliefs. Needless to say, they have veered towards being progressive as well.

The last bit about gun violence and gang violence is 100% accurate. My family and I left Philly over a year ago and moved to DFW because the violence was getting so bad. Young people are shooting each other in broad daylight because of gang and personal beef. Arrests aren't made because even since COVID-19, the mayor announced there won't be any drug related arrests. So the police simply come to the block, collect the dead bodies, and then everything is supposed to go back to normal. Meanwhile BLM and other activist groups don't want to address the problem because "black on black crime" is "not real" and because this issue can't be blamed on white people.

We are in 2023, where divorce is on decline, so I would hope so. It's great to see Woman being able to take care of themselves, even if they have a partner. Sometimes he needs help too.

I really resonated with this episode. Grieving over the evil in our country. Tears shed a lot this week.

Thank you for wrapping this up with God's absolute sovereignty. So many Christians claim they believe it, but the truth of it drives out fear and brings peace and rest. God is our protector (and our children's) until the time He has ordained for us on earth is complete.

Allie, you have said exactly what I have been thinking all week. This whole thing is angering.

I am 27 yo, I'm autistic and I live with my parents (but that's normal in my country so I guess that's just a cultural difference) but I am also christian. What I have seen is that autistic people are more likely to fall under the transgender spectrum or I don't even know how to call it because we normally feel weird and most of us have a late diagnosis so we always have that sense of not belonging anywhere and that makes it so they identify in that community, also we tend to have a variety of likes and dislikes that don't normally align with our gender stereotypes so it can cause some confusion. And girls also tend to dress more masculine cause it's more confortable for our sensory needs. All that said, before anything else I am a child of God and I do believe even with my struggles and being born autistic he made me perfect according to his plan and I thank him for calling me when I was just a little girl.

These people are persecuting the church and we knew this would happen and we ought to say "for this thing I was born." I'm not saying we shouldn't grieve loss. I’m absolutely appalled at the fact that they are supporting the shooter and saying how scared they are for trans people. Infuriates me. I don’t care if the shooter is a unicorn, it’s unacceptable to do what she did and she should pay for it, which she did. It also makes me mad about how they’re always so quick to take away and blame guns. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. CLEARLY this shooter, as with every other shooter, was mentally unstable. I do take issue with the fact that she was able to buy multiple guns at multiple locations in a short time. That should’ve been a red flag. As an educator, our mental health system is beyond broken. Therapists are overwhelmed, there’s little to no help for kids who desperately need it. Then there’s the issue of therapists affirming nonsense and prescribing “gender affirming care.” Until we fix the mental health, I don’t see an end to this particular issue. Not only that but the apostasy evident in this case, makes it clear that we are indeed in the end times and Jesus is come for us soon!

One thing you missed is that she was getting counseling from the pastor whose daughter was killed, so it is a closer relationship than just attending the school. It should be investigated to see what was discussed during sessions and if the sessions kept the Billy Graham rule
