I am Muslim and I was born Into a racist family but I took my own path in life and my family disowned me they tell me am white an I shouldn't be Muslim or am Scottish so I shouldn't be Muslim but since I converted my life has been great and showed me how to forgive and love my parents an my brother for who they are and all I can do is try to get them to the right path in life

the idea of being in a proper state of mind during prayer helped me defeat my addiction to crack. i wasnt even muslim but i felt i needed to pray for myself. and praying 5 times a day didnt leave much room to get high. i would still smoke and pray but it felt wrong. i didnt get the satisfaction i needed anymore from my dope, i had smoked too long. but praying five times a day with true intention from the heart? That made me feel wonderful. Allahu Akbar!

May allah guide you, preserve you and grant you the highest of heavens without judgment and through any door. Al-Bukhaari (2790) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “In Paradise there are one hundred degrees that Allah has prepared for those who strive in the cause of Allah; the distance between each two degrees is like the distance between heaven and earth. So if you ask of Allah, then ask Him for al-Firdaws, for it is the middle of Paradise and the highest part of Paradise. I think that above it is the Throne of the Most Merciful, and from it spring the rivers of Paradise.”

I used to be a road man not any more brothers islam is the path we need to follow the right way amen.

When Sheik Yusuf said that the Prophet used to stop and give salam to everyone and now people don't do it.. touched me, I'm a revert, can't always weark hijab but when I do I feel complete and safe and happy as I can be identified as muslimah and I give salam always and noticed this that he said! I don't always get an answer , the last time, I said it to a few sisters and no one replied me, some even looked bad at me, brothers as well too, it's sad, not everyone is like that but just the fact that a brother or a sister don't even say it, it's sad and it's the most simple thing in Islam..

Aww Yea this days they seem to be ashamed of showing their religion specially when they are in a non-muslim country. I reverted and before I used to feel weird talking about religion, ashamed maybe as I didn't believe. Now I look for any excuse to do it but only with the Islamic and Arabs term, in Spanish(my language) I feel weird as it sound fake and different. Whatever, it's a shame that some muslims now see showing their deen as something bad .. :(

Aisha Aish We should not be ashamed to be muslims this is who we are It can be difficult to practice the deen in the west because they see us as someone dangerous. The best thing to do is try our best to practice the deen even if it is difficult to do at the end of the day we will be rewarded by Allah s.w.t. May Allah guide us and keep us on the straight path may he make it easy for you :)

Seriously personally I've never walled down that route alhamdulillah! but having lived in hostels in East London I have seen many people who are living that 'thug' life, selling drugs or taking drugs. And I know it isn't easy to get out of that once ur there. So be proud of yourself! May Allah (swt) be with you.

I do not want to be a minion of Dajjal like most of the world willingly is today including our own Muslim Ummah. How are we any different when we try to act just like those Kaafirs. I agree, ameen. Isn't it something that we are taught to be cautious from the whisperings of shaytan, but when shaytan speaks to us thru another human being to justify doing wrong we don't take precaution.

Hence I ask why the ummat in the states aren't talking like this. There should be no cooperation with the criminal underworld, except to reform them, not even if the criminal underworld is the "enemy of my enemy" (a trick of shaytaan to misguided us).

Allah wants you to be in your state of your mind take everystep on the earth not in the air but drug dealers are in a war against allah by providing the substance to take a human out of his conciousnes.

i think rap lyrics from artist like tupac he was telling you to actualy to become somebody in this white mans world, to handle the materialism with courage, and never back down, so using the texts of tupac i can not agree with, he actually has opened alot of eyes of people to come closer to god, while surviving in this materialistic superficial world, he has learned alot with his lyrics to be real, not hypocrit, fake, or egoistic, i do believe killing others because of money is wrong, and rappers nowadays are promoting those violence and lusts towards money, while its prohibited by the 'industry', while tupac was being seen as an public enemy, because he told the truth! isnt that we all want the truth..
