i just wanna note that when i made this i fully supported scott. since its come to light that the money from fans like me has been going into the republican party, im no longer comfortable supporting him or even really being associated with fnaf. it really sucks because this story meant the world to me. i just dont want to be part of it anymore. i hope that the future of fnaf is better now that hes gone, and maybe i can revisit the franchise with a new look on things but as of right now its hard. to me fnaf was and is scott cawthon. im going to leave this up because i am pleased with it, and a lot of people really like it! i dont want scotts stupid actions to ruin what ive made. if you like this vid go support lemon demon :)

I think that William was always a little evil to a certain extent. But I think that His kids dying(if CC died first which I believe) and His Wife leaving him(implied in security breach) and his jealousy of Henry sorta of pushed him to him snapping

I like that when the suits are in animatronic mode they keep a lifeless stare, but when Henry and William put them on they both have massive grins. They genuinely love what they do

William standing there in costume unmoving as fredbear continues to move with the crying child's limp body dangling from his mouth actually had me speechless THIS IS SO GOOOOOD OMGGG

i also like that u humanized william. it makes his transition to being a monster more believable. he was just a dad at one point, a guy who loved to entertain, and once he lost the only thing he cared about he decided to cause pain to everyone else. it makes him feel less like “the big bad” and more like a realistic depiction of why we don’t suspect serial killers immediately.

i never thought about the fredbear robot CONTINUING its stage programming with the crying child's in its mouth. shaking his limp body around like a dog with a dead rabbit. while william is standing there watching it happen. horrific!

I can’t believe you made me feel bad for WILLIAM AFTON of all people. Great work!

you somehow made william from the graphic novels not look like an ugly rat, that itself causes an applause

I just noticed; At 2:59 He looks down at his bloody finger. William, like his son, like everyone and everything so far, is sketched black. Then the camera pans back to William and his facial expression has changed--as has his color, as he is now purple instead of black. While other people and objects show up in black throughout the video, William stays purple for the remainder of the video. Fascinating detail!

What makes this animatic stand out to me is the way you portrayed William and his original intentions. A lot of people tend to forget that he (and Henry) created the animatronics and that he himself actually performed in the suit, probably for years, since he can move in it so well. I think his original intentions were (at least mostly) to entertain children, and I like that you took your time to show this in your animatic. Great work!

This is perfection. The unique take on William and Henry’s so blatantly broken friendship is shockingly striking at my heart strings. Micheal being so distraught, staring at his dad and waiting for him to yell at him just before he breaks apart mentally? Magnificent. Your perspective on this story is astronomically gorgeous

I would like to point out that Henry had the budget to purchase countless springs and invented a mechanism to push back the entire brunt of the endoskeleton using a crank but didn’t have the budget to just buy the materials to make a separate suit causing dozens of death and a mirad deaths just for a budget cut

to be fair, to me it seemed it was never about profit to henry. the springlock suits were williams invention and for the sake of character integrity it made more sense for both the animatronic and the suit to be one in the same. the springlock suits didnt exactly cause the deaths, william would have killed children in a suit regardless of whether it was springlocked or not. if anything we're lucky they kept those springlock suits, because thats what eventually (semi) killed him.

I love the detail of being able to see the person’s mouth in the suit when there’s someone actually wearing them. And the way you managed to portray so much more life when they’re actual performers and not animatronics, it really adds to the whole thing!

this animatic is so good omg??? the music choice is perfect for the story and i love how expressive all of your drawings are, esp when the animatronics are preforming. I can tell you put a lot of love into this project and it really shines through

I've been a fan of FNAF till 2019 ever since it came out, watching this gives me so much nostalgia that it almost made me cry, beautiful. It sounds exaggerated but it was awesome to see this FNAF animatic and hope it blows up!

that was ??? incredible??? From the start I couldn't take my eyes off the video omg. The way you drew the story was so good - i don't think i've ever seen this portrayed as well as you've done here :0c and that is without mentioning how well you've drawn the characters and especially the expressions ... i could just feel what the characters were feeling that's insane!!!

My jaw genuinely fell at the bite scene. The way you've portrayed it in your artwork is outstanding. Not only that, I never even considered the fact that Afton might have been performing when it happened. That's crazy, and I love it

Coming back 10 months later bc my FNAF phase has returned yet again. I adore the little details so much. The way your draw the spring suits is so cute, and the bite scene is made so unnerving by the fact that the Fredbear suit is in auto-movement mode. Despite William's face being covered by the mask, you managed to convey his horror as he realises the fatal situation his son is now in. Also may I add, your art style has a really cool and comic book feel to it. I know this is an older work of yours now, but it has a really special place in my heart

This is what I wanted Fnaf to be. A tragic tale of loss, grief, and suffering. A story of a brilliant people who did not deserve such an accident. Grief changes people… I know first hand what that looks like. I wanted this version so badly I denied the actual story of Fnaf. Call it a comfort thing, I just didn’t want to feel alone and I was able to identify with someone who had changed because of loss and grief. It helped me become better than my inner demons. I suppose that is why I always come back to Fnaf.

WAAGGH THIS IS SO FREAKIN COOL even tho its not really cannon i do really like the interpretation of the fnaf story as william and henry being genuinely good guys and close friends that really just wanted to make people happy with their animatronics and restaurant before it all went downhill, it makes the story a bit more emotional and interesting to me (not that it excuses his actions but just that it makes you able to pity him a bit at least his backstory and see how it all went bad ive also lately thought a lot about just how well spirit phones music fits with fnaf, especially cabinet man lol, with all the supernatural themed darker stories it tells about weird people and death and ghosts and spirits and the very 80s sorta themed music, i really hope to see more animations/animatics from the community with lemon demons music :D

this singlehandedly launched me back into fnaf interest thank you so much

Wanted to come back to this since the movie came out recently.....AND IT'S STILL AS AMAZING AS EVER!! Definitely my top interpretation right after my own, but that's just how people are with AU's lol 😋 I checked out your other stuff and I'm really impressed with the evolution of you work!! There’s something about your art style that so perfectly fits for this? The eeriness of it all, the wrongness of it. And the parts like 1:45 where even the animatronics faces convey the emotions so well!! The side eye to Henry, the squint of “...something’s...gone wrong.” It’s all so amazingly well-done !! Aghhh this is so good. I like the style throughout the entire thing, also the chromatic aberration/vhs filter is also very good for the time frame,,, I especially like the frames with Fredbear and Springbonnie coming out from behind the curtain at 0:46. Also ohhh my god the big brother's expression at 2:40 is so so good I am going to cry i am going to EXPLODE/positive ALSO THE WAY WILLIAM'S OUTLINE CHANGES TO PURPLE AFTER HE LOOKS DOWN AT THE BLOOD ON HIS HANDS. OMG. THE SYMBOLISM >>>>> And the next scene with him standing in the brother's doorway with the completely purple shadow was just so unsettling. Holy fucking shit, I-I um.. THIS IS SO GOOD?!?!?! LIKE, NOT ONLY DID YOU PICK A FANTASTIC LEMON DEMON SONG BUT ALSO, THE AMAZING ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND THE ART AND THE WAY YOU DRAW WILLIAM AND HENRY IM GOING TO IMPLODE

I haven't seen anyone pick up on the fact that the colours change throught the video! ( 0:12 ) At the start, its lineart is in black when William is out of the suit and hanging out with Henry. ( 0:46 ) Then it goes blue when William is inside Spring-Bonnie. The suit almost acting as a tint over Aftons vision, a character he plays to entertain the kids. It carries on like this until after he is scarred by the Springlocks. ( 2:06 ) As if (major speculation here) he has become part of that Spring-Bonnie persona. The suit leaving a physical mark, shakes him up a bit. Sort of merges that colourfull persona with his own normal one. UNTIL the big event happens and we get another colour. ( 2:28 ) Bright red. As soon as the jaws of Golden Freddy clamp down on his sons head, Aftons Spring-Bonnie persona drops instantly. ( 2:32 ) The happy blue tint leaves the scene and William Afton is left a little more hollow inside. Everything covered in that bright red, even him. ( 2:53 ) As Micheal waits for his father to absolutely verbally destroy him (both with traces of Evans red on them), Willam looks dazed off into the distance. ( 3:04 ) Something inside him snaps and the outer edges of the screen fuzz over with a purple haze. To put it simply: this marks the death of Willam 'Trusted Adult' Afton, and the birth of Willam 'Child Murderer' Afton. ( 3:11 ) Soon, this new crazed version of Afton has completely taken over, the one we see in the games, as he stands ominously over his sleeping son (possibly struggling to hold back some murderous intent, leaving with an ounce of sanity, to go take it out on someone else). ( 3:38 ) And now, William 'Child Murderer' Afton walks the floors of his own pizzaria, practically a stranger to the man that helped build the place. The children's red staining Afton's purple, and the colourless black and white that he now sees the world in. (Him seeing in 'Black and white' being interesting, as pretty much everything Willam does after this point is BAD. But with morally GREY purpose). TL;DR: this anamatic is hella good at using colour to represent the states of William's mind and i am mentally ill about it :D

i cannot get enough of this video AGHH and I reeaaally love your interpretations of William and Henry!!!! you're really good at quick simple character design, all the background characters really feel like, y'know, their own character with their own personality!! and wow the facial expressions * chefs kiss * that sorta blank stare William gives to his sons murderer at 2:48 wowie just a really great piece of 2d animated fnaf content that I wish I saw more of keep it up!!

ZOO WEE MAMA THIS IS SO GOOD I really enjoy the use of color! I didn't realize the more subtle choices til my second watch, they really elevate the vid! the VHS effects and the chromatic aberration are also so nice omg... like it makes sense to use it for a story set in the 80s but it's just another one of those subtle things that makes everything Pop 👀 and!!! it's cool to see The Bitch portrayed in a more sympathetic way pre-bite that also doesn't romanticize him. it was really nice that the traumatic moments were portrayed with a lot of weight, but that they weren't like, overdone it in favor of the scare factor. it's a fine line! and I think you found the perfect balance here 😔 thank you so much for making this and sharing it, I'm really glad I got to enjoy it!!!!

oh my gosh thank you so much!! this is such a nice comment, it was a lot of fun to work on and im so glad people are enjoying it. its definetly a fine line not to romanticise william while still portraying him as initially sympathetic, if i were to do this again id do some stuff different but im still really proud of it despite some issues i have - im just really glad other people like it!

I love that you make William more sympathetic. idk why it ever occured to me that Afton might have been in the suit. Which is entirely possible cause those things have huge blindspots so he wouldn't have seen his son get chomped until too late.

I love how you portray William in this! I don't like the direction they are going with his character in the newer games and books. I don't like it when William is just plain evil just to be evil. It really makes his character less interesting in every aspect
