Hey, pro-Trump conservative here. I agree that it is outrageous the death penalty is not being considered. This was murder. I don't care what color the victim or the perpetrator were. There is no excuse. Period. My condolences to this brave officer's family.

I knew Fitzgerald, he used to be a C.O in Lehigh county. I uses to talk to him all the time at my gate. At the time he was dealing with Lehigh county detective's following him and his family and then they pulled out guns on him so sad, he was scared he might get locked up for nothing all cuz his dad was chief and the Allentown police department was hating on his pops. I can't believe thia young p.o.s. dude killed this humble good hearted family man😢 damn im numb rn i cant believe this

with the current state of our criminal justice system, I'm surprised he's still in jail. thank a voting democrat for this mess.

I understand the family and his work partner are hurting, I remember when this occurred though and it was on the news nearly 24/7 and the entire police force of the city of Philadelphia was doing a manhunt for this teen. They do understand there are families who NEVER have gotten even this level justice of to have the accused locked up behind bars. Some of this they're behaving like the justice system let the guy go 100% free and just gave him a ticket. The accused may very well spend most, if not all, of his remaining life in jail after what he has done. I know they all are extremely hurt, to position it like the courts and justice system did nothing at all is extremely unfair to all the hard working people who worked countless hours to help solve this case. Where is the decency and respect for the hundreds, if not literally thousands of people, involved who worked those countless hours to make sure the accused was found and is now behind bars? It appears that some involved are just very hurt and want "a life for a life", and vengeance , not justice💯💯💯 If he is behind bars the remainder of his life wouldn't that be a form of the accused being punished for his crime? Some just don't want him breathing anymore and want payback. Don't let that monster turn you into a monster like him💯💯💯 BTW, I am Senior Student @ Temple University & I love & Respect all the hard work that all of the Temple University Campus officers do to make sure campus safety is a priority. They are very respectful to the community members, I have seen with my own eyes Temple University Campus Police buying snacks from the convenient stores near campus for local children, about $20 on ice creams and drinks etc on a hot day for them. And he didn't have to do it at all. So I too was effected by this story about one of Temple University Campus Police and followed the story very closely. Prayers to the family & friends involved and may they all find their path to healing after this horrific event💯💯💯

The man isn't getting out of jail he probably has a small rap sheet and that grants him a lifetime in prison he's wrong but not death penalty worthy.
