Peter, been watching you for years and enjoy your coaching, approach to headshots and have used most of your techniques myself - they work! I know you used to use a Hasselblad (H4 I think) and then migrated to Canon 35mm. I have been a Hasselblad shooter for 10 years and recently purchased the X2D-100 mirrorless camera with 100 MP sensor and 7-stop 5-axis In Body Stabilization. I also shoot 35mm for action photos (Nikon) - I go back to the 70's with 35mm cameras. I have to say, with portraits and other still life photography, the X2D just blows 35mm out of the water. The image quality is just that good! I could list all the great features of the X2D but I encourage you to borrow one from B&H or Adorama and try it for yourself. Warning, you will love it. I often take pictures without a tripod which is very freeing and lets you can roam around the studio easily without a cord attached (WiFi). The In Body Stabilization lets me shoot at 1/2 second shutter speed - hand held! Crazy! Make sure you get the 80mm or 65mm lens.
