At around 8:00, to be more specific, an oubliette (from the French "oublier," to forget) is any dungeon which had no means to escape. It is typically something with a hatch prisoners were thrown down and left to die into.

For those of you wanting Gungeon Trivia! The rat floor notes are inside chests. After some time of you dealing with the rat, he will start to steal items inside of chests, and leave a note with an arrow made of cheese at the end of it. That's the direction of your specific rat maze floor. It is determined, not by savefile, but by hardware. You change anything in your pc, like the graphics card or ram, the code will also change. Happy gungeoning to y'all!

The game actually already had synergies before the final update but it made it so it shows what synergizes with what in ur inventory. And they added a good bit of new ones

1:31:50 Playing casually, one of my *absolute best* runs gave me Metronome and a ton of crap weapons. Thank god I was playing the Marine, it turned his pistol into a viable chamber 5 clearing weapon.

Which i didn't despise roguelikes. It's a sick ass game. Love seeing roguelike speedruns tho!

When I played Gungeon I did all floors too just for fun with various characters. 😁 Sadly, however, I never managed to beat the Rat's "third phase". I wish there were a way to train that one beforehand, since it's so different from the rest of the game.

You can train the rat with a mod available through Mod the Gungeon. That is how I learned.

I remember last time we saw gungeon on gdq, sadly then rng was not on the runners side but I am happy to see this game here again!

on a side note, enter the gungeon is great fun on the steam deck! I've been loving it so far. and this run is amazing!

I think R&G isn't just a pun at "Research and Developement" but also at RNG, since A) The enemies you encounter look extremely random and B) it's the only level not randomized (Common joke that a level about RNG isn't randomized)

He passed up the cannon? Especially with the gunslingers passive item, it turns it into a weapons that gives infinite amounts of gold. I get that may not be super entertaining to watch. But it makes for a better overall showing of the game and the actual power that you can obtain within it. And they were also saying that “you don’t always have enough resources.” But the is one of the only guns in the entire game that fixes that problem. Now I don’t want to sound like a hater because I absolutely loved this run, but it did surprise me that he just left it.

He should have bought the lil bomber when he first saw it and he would have been swimming in castings to buy the rat key plus whatever later in the run.

To those who haven’t beat this game, clone is super OP, Just get as far as you can with a clone, die, and you’ll get so much stuff you’re basically invincible cause you’ll have at least a few great guns by the time you die. Also, the chamber gun is awesome if you can get the rounds for beating bosses without taking damage

This is the only game I play on my Switch now. So seeing this was great. But got 2 questions. 1. The revolver shoots faster coming out of a dodge roll. You can clear rooms faster if you time the roll. Why didn't the runner use this? 2. The 2nd floor shop had lil bomber for sale. Why not pick it up? That solves a lot of resource issues for all rooms run. Also it is a really good gun on the lich.

It's definitely a Metal Gear reference. You're fighting against a Hind-D on a roof and your enemy complains about you "getting all the good guns" like how Liquid Snake is jealous you "got all the dominant genes"

So this is where soul knight is *inspired* on.

Got this game for free on PSN when they gave away games. Totally worth it.

Oubliette commes from the french word Oublier wich means "to forget" They were called oubliettes because they would just toss you in there and forgot you ever existed... one of the worst ways to go if you ask me.

Yeah, we use a mod of the game that gives us some safety measures for exhibitions like this.

What is that item he has on floor one already? The bullet with an S on it??? Never seen anything like that.

He explains that it's one of the "marathon safe" items of a mod, it let's you go to the R&G department of you couldn't get a master round in the run. Doesn't give you any benefits other than that

There is a auto aim correct slider in the options. Turned all the way it it's kinda like a lock on. I'm assuming that's what that is

There is an amount of auto aim available in the game, but it requires you be close enough to the enemies to use.

Nah it's in game default for controllers and still requires plenty of skill expression to use

Cool game. I played it on the switch but it was too hard for me to finish😅 Wish they had an easy mode so I could’ve seen more of the content. Pretty lame of the developers not to add that since the game is more of a dexterity check than a knowledge or strategy one (e.g. souls borne)
