Hi, Sue. Yes, we're both fine thank you. I was a young mum with a baby and toddler when we had a heatwave back in 1976 - temperatures went up to 35.9° (not quite as high as the 38° we've just had here), it lasted TWO months and the drought was so bad we had stand pipes in the road to get our restricted amount of water from! It helps keep our short-lived heatwaves nowadays in perspective! 💖 xx

Jan, what an awesome idea to make a box for this book type card. I truly believe that this should be hand-delivered to that special someone or boxed together with a present sent via post or FedEx , etc. love the way you used the bumblebee trinkets too! Thanks for sharing.

Many thanks, Lynda. I wonder if you're referring to the shaped layering dies that look like pages? Hi, Clare. Funnily enough I was contacted by a lady in Spain who needed some advice. I received a book thank you card from her that she had made using the dies you might be referring to. The card was beautiful and she’d also made a small stand for it as it was like a postcard rather than a single fold card (which I imagine would be do-able; or the postcard could be adhered on the front of a card base). However, unlike the “manual” card, all the pages are flat. The pages could be curled back like in the video but there would be quite large gaps on the left and right outside edges between each page. When they are laying flat, the edges all round are even. Both type of book cards are very effective and I think the deciding factor is if you want a card with or without raised pages. xx

@@janbcards ... the book die set i have has about six/more different sized, shaped, pages to enable variety of book sizes to b made up (plus a book mark/butterfly etc).. in layers n, as u say, the pages are to b curved & finished by curling at the edges... & then a stand added... it looks great wen finished but this simple one u've done looks just as effective... n urs is postable/stand-upable... :)) im loving 'simpler' these days :)

Many thanks, Marie. I'm pleased the timing is good for you! The Rococo Rose card was my prototype card and I used retired products in case it didn't work out. The DSP is called Paper Blooms. The Balmy Blue Card uses You're a Peach DSP, the pale Papaya card uses Expressions in Ink DSP and Beauty of the Earth DSP for the wood design and the video card uses Hand-Penned DSP. There is a corner rounder punch in the catalogue - the Detailed Trio (146320). This is what I normally use but I have to stand up because I have a weak wrist but it's difficult to stand up and punch at the same time - because my camera is in the way. xx
