In this short video, Tylluan talks about why she became a witch and not something else. What is it about witchcraft that attracted her and might attract you? A useful little chat, intended to make us think about why we choose a particular spiritual path.

I remember one afternoon when I was young I took a solitary walk through the woods and I sat down on a fallen tree. There was no one around. I began to listen to the wind in the trees, the birds, the cracking of twigs, the rustling of leaves. It was at that moment I knew that I would follow a spiritual path. It felt as though the forest was aware of my presence. I could feel changes in the air as if the forest was talking. I never felt so at peace. Yeah I knew then and there. 🙂

I am a Witch, because I have always been drawn to witchcraft and magic, ever since I can remember. I love the way that practicing witchcraft makes me feel. I love the sense of wonder and also the sense of oneness. For me, being a Witch is as natural as breathing. Thanks for the video, as always! Blessed Be!

Thanks for the good advice in this video. I've recently become a Witch and felt the need to share it with my wife, who was at first at odds with me about it. As the weeks have gone on, she's become tolerant at best, but the mere word "witch" or "witchcraft" frightens her i feel. I try to explain that it's not about what the movies portray it to be about. But she is stuck in her ways. I agree with your advice but it's hard when there isn't anyone to share such a beautiful experience with. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Am so glad to have just stumbled upon your channel Tylluan. Have felt as if I was living in a different world than others since I can remember, until this day. Now I know I am a deeply spiritual empathy, and embrace it. Definitely not easy some days, but your message and voice has reminded me I'm meant to be this person. Thank you.

I totally agree with all that you said. I got to this path two years ago, after having tried other paths for many years...but I didn't feel really comfortable. Now, instead, I really feel "at home" and have understood that I have always belonged to witchcraft.

Great video Tylluan. And I am so glad you mentioned how there are those who feel that they have to tell people that what they believe is wrong, or they have to do things this way or that. It does irritate me. The reason I chose Paganism is because, I feel it chose me in some ways. But I love that it is so open an eclectic, and connects me to my ancestors who probably practised and believed the same as me. I enjoy the freedom, and love the close connection with the Earth, and that it doesn't feel like a stiff and rigid religion with al their rules and dogma, I can practise whenever and wherever I choose, and as long as it feels right, to me, it is. I don't just believe in the spirits I know they are real, there is no master servant relationship, it is more like a close friendship. Now, in regards to Witchcraft, I've mentioned in previous comments that I was born a Witch. Even when I was considering joining a Christian group in my teens, ultimately I couldn't resist my nature, I am a Witch From a very young age I've always been drawn to Witches and Wizards I watched in movies or read about in books. I was never scared of the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz, she was my favourite character. And I've always had extremely vivid dreams, and still do, when I am flying on a broomstick. My spiritual path and my Craft go hand in hand.

Thank for another interesting talk. The point about not everyone being on a spiritual path is thought provoking. Prompts the thought that everyone has different reasons for incarnating here and are not all at the same of spiritual development cos we have free will.x

Over the years I've become more and more convinced that not everyone is on a spiritual path, or at least, not one that is easily recognised. And I feel it's important to understand that we need to leave them be and not go trying to force them into looking for a path. Learning to leave alone is sometimes the best way to help! Thank you for the feedback! Blessings, Tylluan :-)

[Mathematician-Hansard: My history in doing physical ritualistics (I don't use the term 'magic' or 'witchcraft' for personal reasons...it's my unique path, after all.) has been quite long, going back to late childhood. I just decided recently to carefully weave it together with my understanding of the Universe and my current situation to make it more meaningful and powerful. It has gone in waves in my life--it just so happens that I'm requiring it more often. Stepping out into bioregional animism is a big shift for me as I explore practical means of working with environmental issues on a deeper level.]

Hello, Tylluan! My name is Diana. I have always been a person who lives in wonderment. As a child I would stand behind our long drapery (from the ceiling to the floor). From there, I commanded thunder and lightning and it responded as I had asked. I'm sure most people to this day would probably think that was the imagination or ramblings of a young child. I would go out and lay on the hood of my parent's car and stare at the stars and the moon and feel absolutely entrancd. Also, my name is Diana and I would always take pride in the fact that Artemis (Diana) was considered the goddess of the moon in Greek mythology (and Roman), and doubly that I was born in July under the sign of the moon. Talkative and inquisitive to a fault, I made straight A's in school but straight C's in conduct. My parents let me to go to all different types of churches with friends but none of them felt right. Although my parents were Christians they were also incredibly intelligent and taught all of us to think for ourselves and learn on our own. They would never tell us how to think spiritually or politically or anything else. They just shared their knowledge and let us take from it what we needed. However being raised in an area where only Christian religions/values were taught, it was all I knew as I grew up. But I had far too many questions for the church and far too many disagreements with how (what I believed) a caring god would/should behave. What I considered inquisition, many called sacrilege. Of course, I knew that a brain was put in my head for a reason and that I had every right to ask questions. Additionally, I have always had a way with animals, and I have always had all different types of pets, primarily cats. Perhaps they are my familiars. My mother said she was actually alarmed because as a very young child, I began to act like a cat, lapping up milk and rubbing on people's legs and random things like that. My mother said what she found surprising was that we had never owned a cat and I had never even been around one at that point in my life. What my very long comment is trying to get around to is that I had all these tendencies and fascinations as a child but had no outlet or idea that I could be a witch. In fact, like most people who were raised with Christian values, I associated the word 'witch' with something dark, but mostly, with something that wasn't real. Once I had children of my own, we explored the world together. All the creatures, all the bugs, how the soil felt, tree rings showing the tree's age… anything and everything you can think of. Then, the people close to me began to see the truth in the things I had been saying. One of the most notable things is that I seem to have a lot of electrical current in my body. I make electronic equipment malfunction. This happens with such frequency that the people that I am the closest to could no longer deny it and actually started to tell other people about it. Even streetlights often go out when I go underneath them. Also, without a doubt I can call animals to me, especially hoofed beasts - not domesticated ones. This we finally got on film. I'm not telling you all this be a braggart. It's more like the pieces of a puzzle that never came together before. They were all there but I didn't know there was a beautiful cohesive picture to be made of all the pieces. In the last couple of years I have really wanted to write a book - so much so that I will wake from my sleep to write thoughts down or I will use a marker and write it on the mirror in my bathroom. The content of the book is really what I believe to be the content of my life. And here's where you come in. All these years of exploration led me here to what I know now is my true path. And while I may have been on my path this entire time and all the signs were there, I never saw them. It was as if my path lay under my feet but was obscured or completely hidden. I am now 51 years old and feel that I have always been a witch but I don't know how to get on with it now. I'm not sure what to do next so I'm learning everything I can from you. I know you do not claim to be a teacher and I very much respect your wisdom when you say that there is never just one way to do or see things.I am happy, excited, and truly inspired. ~ Thank you very much for these videos.I am right where I need to be. ~ Blessings to you and Mr. Penry (& to those ever-present wonderful snoring beasts)Sincerely, a grateful witch

Thank you Diana! Your post was fascinating - and so typical of what many people feel yet never realise is all part of the path. I have had the same problem with static electricity, and as for street lights google something called SLIder (or street lamp interference phenomenon). It's actually well known and we have a lot of it in our family. May your path always sparkle with blessings, ! Blessings, Tylluan :-)
