Yes it seems like he is changing his playing style. But there are growing pains, he didn’t fare well in a lot of tournaments this year, changing style isn’t easy. However I applaud him for trying it, his original style while got him to #2, it was never going to take him to the top. Not saying his new style can, but what’s the point of keep doing the same thing when the results are the same, time to change it up and he did.

@@Phat-rj3jo always when he was attacking and defending at the same time so combining both styles he was almost unstoppable for example during 2022 Denmark open and 2022 world tour final against axelsen he lost both matches in the decider to 19 and 22 but displayed his top form

it's actually a great move by Kodai & his team otherwise he will always run out of stamina of playing long rallies since he was a small guy
