Bro you are Right but issue is that Hindi is our national language not of any specific state,city,region or caste owns it so everyone knows how to speak Hindi and same goes for English as well. I respect your opinion about people should know kannadigas if they live there but tourist can't do it.

The Constitution of India provides for the use of Hindi in the Devanagari script as the official language of the Union. According to Article 343, “The official language of the Union shall be Hindi in the Devanagari script.

Hindi and English is the official language of the union ! And official is meant for the working of the government not for the public Hindi will never become the national language nor do we need one !

@@akshat6197 that's what i said, official language means Raj Bhasha, it DOESNT mean its National language, now modi government is publishing all proceedings in all languages, so all languages get same treatment
