For those who are wondering, this is not NKP 587s whistle. It's the Original Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad whistle from 643 . It doesn't bare any resemblance in sound or pitch to 587s original whistle and NKP 624s whistle(worn from 1991 til 2002)

If I remember correctly, this is the whistle that came off of Bessemer and Lake Erie No. 643.

Damn that fireman could blow the whistle and had a good stack for photos.....;) I might be a little biased though......haha

That's probably the same secondary whistle that NKP 765 used when she was in for the photo freight service with sister PM 1225 in late August in 2009

I was told this whistle is from W&LE 6428

no i talked to a person who owned 643 and he is good friends with the fort worth and that is 643 whistle

It is the whistle of the B&LE 643, So at least her voice it still a live. :)

SkrezzyTrainGuy not even close. Maybe a sister to 587. 587s whistle had a crack in it during the 1988-89 season.
