Right on man. Thanks so much for the comment and feedback. I should mention that the welder I was using was just a little 120vac hobby kit by LINCOLN (MIGPACK 10). Not a heavy duty 480v or 600v rig you might be accustomed to working in a fab shop. Anyways man, cheers.

Great review and my watch over Christmas took 5 weeks and came from Ontario Canada and it came a week after the mag strap but the watch connected with my iPhone no problem and has stayed connected for a week but I’m unable to dial or receive calls but only texts and missed call notifications when I hit the phone button it says pair but find my phone works so I don’t know how to get that function working. Got any ideas Steve? When you swipe the watch face down the bottom left hand pic will turn on or off the auto turn on when you look at the face to turn it on good for night time. Great watch battery life is 7 plus days. Yes I recommend it it’s better than my Apple Watch , don’t believe the blood pressure reading but the BPM is accurate.

I'm in the same boat. I bought this smart watch and it showed that it would be shipped fast. Well, what they fail to mention is that it's being shipped direct from China. Also, even though I made sure to un-check the "subscribe to our emails", They have sent me marketing emails 1 to 2 times per day since the minute I purchased. I mostly wanted it because I listen to lots of podcasts and am hoping there's a way to keep the play/pause/skip ahead buttons on the watch so I can more easily skip ads without having to pull out my phone every 10 minutes

I actually am looking at this watch and i'm planning to use it for more or less the same thing... Podcast at work pausing and skipping few commercials.. How convenient is it for that and on that? How good are the speakers on the watch? I heard it has speakers. How loud are they? And can you hear them over ambient noises? I would appreciate the reply.

Absolutely. And when the metal filings stick to thw band they chafe something fierce against your wrist. Fortunately you can clean them off by removing the band from the watch and washing it under water. Even this requires some time and effort though.

Question: has anyone compared blood pressure readings with a machine? Mine reads 25mm low.

Is there a function where you can reset the step counter whenever you want or does the watch do it automatically at a set time of the day?

It seems to reset during the night. Probably at midnight. Doesnt seem to be able to reset manually. Although you could probably use one of the exercise functions to track a specific event.

I recently received mine, and yes, it is a tough watch. It's a bit bigger than my Iwatch but not too big.( just) The battery life is over 4 days but sadly it started to flicker so I put it back on the charger and then 2 hrs later it went out completely . I never was able to have an easy Bluetooth connection to my iPhone. I'm going to return it and try once more . The Apple Iwatch is great but a 1 day battery life is a time waster. Here's hoping the next Nord watch is better :)

Thanks for the review! I had the same shipping issue, but the watch did eventually get here, although they made me pay customs on it, which was an extra $20. Not too happy about that. I've only had it for a couple days, so I can't say too much about it. I'm also an electrician and wanted the watch to control music and podcasts while I work. Not sure if that'll work yet. I personally wish I had done more research before buying it. I'm sure the apple of Samsung watches are better overall, if only for the fact that they come from a reputable source. Not sure of their durability, though. Anyways, thanks again for the review, it was much appreciated

Just from watching the tech on the watch and the fact that it’s $85 makes me curious of its build quality and the capability to not get totally trashed in the trades. I’m a little curious of getting one because $85 is on the cheaper side and if the tech and durability is even half ass this would be goood buy just to get people in on smartwatches. I’m totally on board with subscribing to your channel when you mentioned the magnetic band in a trade with a lot of hands on work where a breakaway band would be badass

I waited mine for five days to arrive from Chicago to Minneapolis. I wish you had mentioned about battery charging. I have not had a smart watch like this. I charge it and it takes a week or even more days before battery runs down. No Apple Watch or Samsung or any smart watch that you charge ones in more than seven days. The speaker is very loud. Mine has no connection problem.

Yea my experience so far is as youve described. Although I will say that i had better success with my previous phone (galaxy S9). sometimes it just takes several attempts to connect....other times it will drop out once its connected randomly. But again i think that may be more to do with my phone

I find that if you enable all the different features it chews up the battery quickly. Also- sometimes it appears as though the blood pressure monitoring runs even when you havent asked it to and i believe this contributes to the rapid battery consumption.

It would have been nice if you were to mention how long the watch lasted on a charge

I think your best bet would be to download the "da fit" app and try to find a language selection there.

Pretty sure this is just a rebrand of a common $26 Chinese smartwatch called the C20 Pro.

They're dropshipping the watch most likely, someone setup a website, ads and social networks as if it's their device, then when someone buys its probably linked to aliexpress or alibaba, 60+ return so they played it pretty smart

It is. I'm a bit of a watch enthusiast (not to mention a tech geek) so I did my research on the brands we've seen these under (Carbinox, Kospet, Lemfo, Amazfit, Njord, and the list goes on) and they're all identical, save for one or two face options on them. I flat refuse to pay any more than 20 bucks for any of these.

You’re right. The pairing sucks. It’s not your phone. It’s the watch. Mine switches between faces alone and I can’t get it to pair to text messages.

Hey so it can receive texts and phone calls. Im pretty sure you can dial out from the watch but i dont believe it gives you phonebook access. You cannot text out from the watch. Also i have an update video on the watch which talks about how mine broke....you may want to watch that one as well. Cheers

I would say contact customer service but i still havent heard back from them in 3 weeks so it seems thats a dead end. Make sure your watch is paired correctly and that you have made the proper configuration settings in the app. Good luck

Just got the njord watch for a gift. Hope it works for me.

Apple Watches are SEAMLESS in connectivity. It’s the main reason I would go with those other watches as opposed to this one. Features and functions are useless if you are fighting to use them. However, this was a great review and the watch is perfect for some tradespeople who couldn’t care less about every little feature.

I dont believe thats an option. Your phone is the source of the music. If you pair the watch to the phone the watch can play music but i dont think you can pair the watch to the speaker

Hey Tom. Yea thats another thing I forgot to talk about on the video. But yes the watch does send and receive calls. You cannot access your phones contact list via the watch but you can manually dial numbers and call out. Im told the audio is decent by folks ive talked to while using the watch....provided the ambient noise level isnt too excessive. Hope that helps. Thanks for the comment and the view. Cheers

Suggestion to improve reviews of gadgets such as watches. Some significant editing and focus camera more on the gadget while describing/commenting will help a lot. If I can be honest, people watch this review to hear and see more of the product. Not the reviewer himself.

Yea it would be nice if it was a bit more intuitive. For instance i dont need to listen to the sound of every keyboard stroke relqyed through my watch. But again, for the price its pretty good i think.

@@jroysdonsometimes the catch is mass produced devices with no brand name. I mean, if all you want is an android based apple watch equivalent, these are probably it. Battery life? crap, long term durability? crap. But it works and gives you your heart rate and takes some calls.

I believe they advertise the watch as being water reistant/ proof. IP67 if I recall correctly has a Ingress Protection rating which is suitable agaist: High pressure jets of water from any direction AND short duration submersion in water up to 1 meter in depth. I havent volutarily subjected it to these conditions but if i fall in the pool one day while wearing it I will make a follow up. Thanks for the comment.

They have one model (the round one) that is rated for 1 atmosphere (33.8 ft) for those that are going to submerge it (swimming, very shallow diving).

Good point. I'll say this, if Njord gear wants to send me a new watch for free I would be happy to torture test it for all ya'lls viewing pleasure. Until then Im not about to subject my watch to intentionally harmful conditions. But based on what i have done while wearing it, its held up nicely.

in my experience, blutooth is hit and miss on all devices, from top level samsung and iphones to cheap chinese smart watches. None of them are perfect. However some are worse than others.

I bought them and I have only problems with this company. They are scammers … u can not deal with them. They want NOT refund me! I had this watch just one day never worn but I did like it and want it send it back. I bought it in summer and now it’s December 18th and I still not able to get my money back. They kidding me around and back and forth but nothing happened. So I lost CAD$210 ..

Yea that aloe vera on the left has been struggling for a while😆. Believe it or not I actually water it pretty regularly.

That calculator is weak.... You can get a casio from the 90s with a full scientific calculator on it

Absolutely the worst customer service on the planet!!! Bought a wtach from them and screen protectors. Screen protectors did not fit properly and both were not fitting. Tried contacting customer support and got in touch with Dannie. She is non responsive to sending out 2 more replacements. Terrible customer service skills and after 5 attempts to reach anyone, they do not respond whatsoever!!! If you want a watch like this stay away from them!!!
