nivisto Redfern Kangaroo Trifold wallet makes an impression!

Kangaroo leather is fast becoming my favorite leather for durability and strength while still being a low weight cut. The nivisto Redfern Kangaroo Trifold is as thin as a bifold, but with everything you'd expect in a trifold

I've had this wallet for a few months now, and I absolutely love it. It has all the storage capacity I need in a small form factor. I have eight cards and of course some bills stuffed in, and yet it still sits comfortably in my front pocket. Thank you for reviewing it; I never would have found my perfect wallet otherwise!

I’ve had this wallet for a little while as well. Most trifolds involve compromises. If you want capacity, you usually get an very large/thick wallet. You want slim, you lose capacity. This wallet strikes a perfect balance between size and capacity-it can carry plenty of cards and cash and has a profile, when closed, that’s very similar to most wrap card holder wallets. Kangaroo leather is another plus. It’s super strong, thin, and patinas REALLY fast (compared to cow leather). Can’t recommend it enough.

I have had two Nivisto wallets exclusively over the past 5-6 years and I think they are unmatched in offering full customizable, beautifully designed, hand made wallets to order for prices nearly anyone could afford that last for many years. They are exceptionally thin, very durable (but not scuff resistant, they get love marks easily), patina nicely and have very good fit and finish. More people should be buying these

Kangaroo leather is my favorite hide to see in wallets due to its thinness, but durability like you have a 3.5oz leather, so amazing.

Nice review mark. Good looking wallet, I'm not a tri-fold guy but still a good looking wallet with obvious quality. On another note Mark, I recieved my STR Handmade "Bramble" wallet today in the mail. Holy cow, the quality of this Lithuanian craftsman is unreal. Buttero leather in oxblood color with red, hand stitching is just about perfection. If I could send ya a pic on here, I would. Ashland, Craft & Lore and similar companies need to take comfort that he's in a Eurpean country with a crappy postal service. If he were in the U.S., he'd seriously be real competition to these type of smaller companies.

First wallet you've reviewed in a while that I could see myself using. Tempted. I love that it's a thin trifold that stacks card directly on top of each other instead of being offset.

Hi your videos are great and show the wallets really well, you have some pretty original content here. I have a suggestion for the cash insertion test tho. In some of your other videos it sometimes doesn't give that good idea of how much can a wallet realistically fit so maybe having a part when you try stuffing as much coins and cards as possible inside of it to show its limits could be often really helpful

Being in Canada, that's one thing I like about the Frenchie wallets, the cash seems to have less friction so easy to pull out the right bill you need. :). (from your comment on the polymer currency)

Another amazing video. I have a question, could you put cards in the center section like Swainfield? All from the front, put 2 cards in. Hope that makes sense. That way you could access both from the front vs putting it that slot from behind in the billfold area?

  • @walletopia

Slim Sleeve is a bifold, this one is a trifold, but they're essentially the same thickness. With a full billfold pocket and if you carry cash, it's a winner.

Great to hear, it's an excellent wallet. Using it, that's the best way. Another would be to use leather conditioner (it's also called "dressing") on it and rub it in good. There are a few other home recipe options too, but that's the fastest way to soften up tough leather.

I had a polymer $50 bill one winter up in Canada and that bill split clean in two, maybe from the cold? Perhaps it was a fluke, the bank replaced it no questions asked. I love the security features, but it does take some getting used to.
