The first comment I've ever felt compelled to make, but this perfect symphony of artists possibly made my tear up. I've been browsing KZread for 12 years.

Nicki Wells must be one of the most underrated musicians around. Wish we could hear more.

The way it flows from Indian through to a kind of soulful rock (for want of a better phrase) is great. Her mastery from one language to another as well as hitting the notes dead on with feel: 👌🏻 Need more music like this!

Totally agree with your comment, but let's not be too generic - it's Bengali, not "Indian"! Indian isn't a language, and if you're trying to describe the music style then maybe just go with 'South Asian' :)

The tabla player is Aref Durvesh. Really nice guy and amazing tabla player. His drum and bass on the tabla is off the hook.

So unbelievably brilliant. How is this beauty not world recognised. Incredible

Good question! I've literally just heard this song on the radio, found it here and the whole sound is amazing. Though I'm particularly blown away by her vocals. Beautiful!

What particular language (or maybe a better word is dialect) is Nicki singing in here? Sorry I wouldn't be able to tell hindi apart from Urdu or any other Indian/Pakistani language given that I've only recently started listening to Indian music and that's mostly Tamil or Hindi from what I can gather from the albums..
