No it is not. I may appreciate candidate A but vote for someone else. My vote for someone else does not mean I am against A. It is likely because one is against the party that A belongs to. It depends on the governance model within that party 🙂

Whether you like the BJP or not, you have to admit that Mr. Gadkari is a solid politician. His focus is on quality work and we can see how the state of highways/expressways has improved since he took office. His son was my senior in college and I have honestly never seen such a down to earth person. No flamboyance, no show-off instead one of the most well-mannered gentlemen I have come across. Shows his upbringing as well. Kudos to these folks.

​@@Vedha.In 2019 Gadkari was hoping n praying that BJP does not get majority by its own. He had already made plans that the alliance partners will propose his name as PM, and not Modi. He has connections with everyone, but didn't get the opportunity because people blessed Modi with full majority. By 2024 it looks like he has come into senses and accepted the fact that he will not be PM in his lifetime. Only God knows when Sharad Pawar n Rahul baba will also get this realisation.

No doubt he is one of the best man in the political arena of India.
