Definitely coming from a Malayali..i get the entire Nivin Pauly craze and he is amazing!! @@afrudeensh4956 that is not possible..Nivin's command over Hindi is pretty questionable..And the character Acid was a total confident live wire..So I highly doubt if Nivin could pull off that character. And about outshining Sushant again is a question because He was an amazing actor who didn't overshadow other actors and acted his part true to its essence and let the others shine along with him.Thats what a real actor does! Just like how Nivin Pauly let his co-stars shine in Premam along with him..He carried every character along with him without overplaying his part.

@@shanaya2518 I totally agree with you on the Sushant part, as I don't know about Nivin. The great thing about Sushant was that he was a real actor. He did not overact just to show that he was there in the film too. That is a great quality of a good actor. However, audience always misunderstood that. I mostly think most of the Indian audience has been brainwashed to love overacting since ages, due to the type of films we have been accustomed to watching. That is why, as a society, we fail to acknowledge nuance.

@@Amritaaify Absolutely right..a large part of the audience thinks acting should be thrown on their face..there are different types of acting.. sometimes if the character requires it you have to make it obvious otherwise its subtlety..Many don't realise subtle acting is really hard to master

Because a complete actor is who acts in different roles not just live in his own bubble. Look at Mohalal sir and Mammotty sir. They acted in other film industries as well by doing small roles. They respect acting than sticking in one place. Nivin is good actor in his language. He can get good rapport only when he enters bigger arena just like DQ & Fahad Fazil.

I'm kind of surprised how such a big director thought that Nivin Pauly who did Moothon with Kashyap, and is the one of the biggest actors right now in South film industry...would simply play a supporting role in a mainstream movie! I guess Bollywood isn't very keyed into south film industry, or maybe just not bothered.

@@mr.l2993 You're right about Malayalam cinema actors not obsessing over titles (lead/supporting). However, the Chichorre role that Naveen did was very small, not enough screen time. If you look at Nivin Pauly's screen presence and reach in the South, it's very unlikely he'd have done the role. Besides language would be a barrier. Karwaan, I believe there was no clear lead actor, it was all stories about the 3 actors in there. But the plot mostly focussed on DQ

Naveen has more hindi creds under his filmography than telegu by now. He went to college in Bhopal and moved to Mumbai for acting so you learn with time I guess. Learning hindi isn't all that hard as some make it out to be in my opinion

Navin pollishetty, I'll say the team and u were an absolutely delight in Athreya, the story hit home. The person I love, he couldn't attend his father's funeral and for exact reasons like some kaal or moon phase, when the climax of the movie came, I was holding on my breath for dear life. It's an amazingly well researched endeavor, take a bow🙇‍♀️👍🏻👍🏻🌟
