Nitecore P35i Flashlight Review

Спорт

This is part one in a two-part field test of the Nitecore P35i flashlight. This light provides three output modes, spot, flood, and mix. The spot mode is a traditional LEP light. Flood is available courtesy of 6X CREE XP-G3, and mixed flood/spot are also possible.
The flashlight comes with a pressure switch that fits into the USB-C charging port on the tail cap. The switch latches onto the tail end of the light to provide a tight fit. The second part of field testing will cover pressure-switch operation using the P35i as a left-shoulder mounted light in Search and Rescue. I will likely cover presets in another video as well.
This review is heavy on beamshots with a few observations provided from hands-on experience with the P35i. The best shot of the night was at over 700 yards across CottonWood Lake at the LBJ Grasslands. I was lucky enough to pick up a large bird flying across the opposite end of the lake.
Thanks to Nitecore for sending the light and making the review possible. For more information: flashlight.nitecore.com/Produ...

This was the most challenging opening I've ever filmed. It was only the second time I've noticed a Bobcat approaching and circling around the campground. This one seemed more aggressive than the last one :). So, it was quite the challenge to film, narrate, and keep an eye on the Bobcat. After I completed the intro, I was able to scare him away. There is one advantage to being an ugly Motivator like the Predator :). For those who want some quick specs - 7.36" length. 2.56" head diameter. 1" tube diameter. About 10.5 oz weight with battery. I'll likely cover presets in another video.

I've had my P35i for around a month now, and can tell you that it's an amazing piece of kit! One thing I do notice from reviews on it is that the camera can't really convey what the naked eye is seeing, as the spot is actually larger to the eye than as seen on the camera, particularly since most of us are viewing videos on our phone or smaller screens. The spot is every bit as powerful as it appears in these review videos but actually perceptibly not so much a pinpoint, however still extremely narrow, as throwers go. Thanks for your channel and the time spent on all of your reviews! Best wishes! 👍🔦👊

that's really difficult for any camera - even top-end cinema cams - LEP lights are the most challenging to film for sure!

I read that removing the battery and not being careful can tear it up a bit. Because its not using springs. Is it best to just not mess with it.

@thisoldswordbladereviews Thank you for this comment. I am looking at getting this for nightshift and your comment has swayed me to purchase it as well at just simply wanting it. Haha

Thank you, Glad you found it helpful. Weather and review schedule prohibited me from filming part 2 of the review this season. It will probably be fall. Glad to see someone else involved in SAR. Good luck to you!

@@L5-SAR Thank you! My fiancé does SAR for the Coast Guard and before that he did SAR with law enforcement, I am learning as much as I can- I work with children as a PMHNP, so not much experience with SAR-- but I love to volunteer when I can--Thank you again for the wonderful and helpful reviews, I will keep tuning in to your thoughts on products and I am so glad that I can learn from them
