Every time I watch such videos, it never fails to confirm the fact that I made the right choice by ordering this guitar. It’s not available in my country but I managed to contact a authorised Ibanez dealer and it’s coming this Christmas!! The customs tax is gonna burn a hole in my pocket. But I don’t care… this Christmas is gonna be lit!!!

Awesome Guitar, Nita. DiMarzio Pickups are Really Underrated... I grew up on Staten island. So it's a bit of old school nostalgia that I was playing when the first aftermarket parts came around... DiMarzio was right in there. And Still IS. And Nita. You Seriously ROCK \,,/ ... Congratulations on being the first female to have an Ibanez Signature model..

  • @josephgiannini6174

So when i first heard this pickup setup form Miss Strauss I was curious to the pro rack compression set up she uses as to how well the pickup played. I was also very interested in her signature ibanez quitar. As well as the steve vai jem as other ibanez guitars. i have been set off ibanez guitars as the necks tend to not withstand the test of time the warp and have long term issues with that. so if you replace the necks periodically not bad.. miss strauss 's signature guitar greatly outdistanced the jem and other ibanez guitars..I was quickly impressed with the pickup however as far as neck versus bridge not too much a difference.. I was mostly impressed with the bridge pickup however her signature guitar had a serious low action and does not allow for a heavy crunch palm muting technique. which means the style in which this lady plays is highly advanced using all fret board harmonics double finger muting triple pick sweep techniques with triad pick upstroke and downstroke muting with advanced sustained arpeggio. I purchased two of the pickups. I put one in a Jackson JS34Q Dinky DKA-M Transparent Blue wired in series. i will put a series/parallel switch. Her signature pickup vs super distortion, dark matter, seymour duncan trembucker or others. I went to guitar center and tried these signature guitars out. And as fore mentioned her pickup surpassed them all.. The only reason i would not but her guitar one the action isnt to my personal preference for play style. But her pickup surpassed the high end jackson. The jem as well as other metal guitars. When placed in my jackson i notice a higher sustain better resolution and response to tremolo bar(which before with the standard jackson pickups is terrible) the jackson and setmour duncan pickups cheaply made. The dimarzion cabling is double sheilded. the Casing is soldered on. The pickup is very high output and adjustable. comes with springs and wiring guides. Amazing pickup. amazing guitar. Highly recommend this pickup. And surprisingly it also plays well clean unlike a super distortion.

That neck pickup has a lot more bite and treble than most neck pups the neck pickup on the Vai Jem is also a bit muddy but I don't think Steve uses it in full humbucker mode most of the time I think he uses it split.

Love Nita! But, I'm confused: Her tone usually seems to have a little more treble, especially on her solo disc. It sounds like the Pandemonium here has a little less treble/mids with more bass, almost as if she has some sort of filter on the humbucker. Still, great musician and her Ibanez looks awesome!

Hi David, I recorded this from a Marshall Code 50 with a Shure 57 and a Beyerdynamic 160. It's a bit rolled off and compressed but that's the sound of the 50 and I agree that her stage sound is brighter. Please check Nita's guitar for yourself. Hope this helps, Larry DiMarzio

LarryDiMarzio Thank you! Funny enough, I’m looking into getting a new DiMarzio humbucker ( I have an old “ Fred “ in the bridge position of my lefty strat ), a new pickup that has a little more “ clarity “ for legato playing. Nita’s pickups here would sound great for my rhythm playing but for my leads, I’m stuck between getting Luke’s Transition pickup or Vai’s Dark Matter. Thanks again for the reply!
