Daughter and daughter in law is different.DIL is another person's daughter and she married into the family just like the son married to his wife's family.Their own parents and siblings will naturally take precedence due to blood ties,upbringing and experience.The word in law itself shows that it's a union by law and it can end by law.the family you born into can't end unless you choose to or they choose to.
