There is a whooooole lot more to this job than what is shown in the video.. the hardest parts are just glossed over like they happen because of magic... like "simply maneuver the header down and out of the engine bay." Yeah, there is a reason the video was cut there...

Wizard = trickery. he did not show how the exhaust manifold went over the suspension adjusting bolt, it stops the manifold from being removed. I suggest getting an e30 or a set of e sockets and remove the exhaust studs from the head, this allows for a through clean of the gasket surface. Replace the studs with new ones along with new bolts. Not all studs need to be removed I just did this job and hate that the factory manifolds all crack.

For all the people questioning if you need to tune your truck. The answer is no. Long tube headers were made with 2 bungs. The top which reads 1 cylinder and the bottom bung reads all 8 cylinders. You need special o2 sensor extension connectors to reach the bottom bungs. These extension connectors are very difficult to come across. Whoever needs a link to the parts comment below. It's a piti that this guy didn't tell you guys that you guys need these connectors. Long tube headers calls for o2 extension connectors.

You don't need a tune, you need o2 sensor extension connectors to connect to the bottom bung hole that reads all 8 cylinders. To do this job it calls for special made o2 sensor connectors otherwise your truck won't run right and will have to go the more expensive route and get a tune if you're using the top bung holes which the tops only reads for 1 cylinder.

I had to basically cut mine from the o2 sensor hole that goes through the heatshield to the outside edge of each heatshield so i could just use an open ended 7/8ths wrench to remove the o2 sensor later. I just bent the crap out of it and pulled it out on both headers straight through the bottom of the truck.
