Well done jonny :-D I did wonder if one of those metal crap-a-citors was ground and +12v. i might look for a regulator feeding the micro controller. A resistor feeding the reg input might be the 12v input. There is a chap on youtube that repairs loads of clusters but i don't remember his channel name. Dam memory. (shoot me quick lol )

Try CLA1A-WKW-CXAYB453 you can get from mouser, digikey and many others and they come in different white colour temps.

Can we connect the input power to a large capacitor that supplies the circuit power?

Yes if you are sure that capacitor is on the input. I connected to the diode here because it split the power to 2 different circuits. If I went to the capacitor then 1 circuit would not get power. You could add an extra wire for the other circuit. This is the first cluster I've seen that used a double diode package.

@@sadeghramezani9022 There will be 2 pins in the connector, one will go to 12V always and other will be switched (ignition on) 12V. You will know which pins because each one goes to the anode of diode and nothing else (google anode and cathode for more info).
