Can we talk about the fact that the guy not only went 328km/h in a 90s Skyline trough a tunnel in public but also got photographed WITH THE DAMN FLASH ON? XD

Also remember this is from the late 90s before internet forums and youtube.This was from maxpower magazines beasts from the east dvd and this kind of footage was unheard of to alot of the car scene and way before the whole import scene exploded.

10 years later and my ear is still blown out. But I keep coming back to hear that tunnel clip.

The guy is freaking unbelievably calm doing 300km per hour.

Smokey is a very responsible driver. Constant mirror checks, signals regardless no cars are around him. Communication is king. No wonder he has gotten into zero accident. I have no respect for folks who follow the speed limits yet do not signals nor communicate yet tries to dictate how fast others should drive.

Your logic is more stupid than using signals at those speeds. Eventhough I like that video, I always asume they had closed road (but I also doubt it a little) if not then I would like to see every last person in the video in jail for life. Doesn't matter how 'good' driver is, 328kph (eventhough impressive) is not for public roads..

@@peterkolesar4020 Smokey got arrested, the GTR got impounded, and then Smokey got deported back to Japan during this trip when he went for the top speed run. This was new back in those days, you rarely would find closed roads let alone highways for these types of stunts. There was no Hoonigan closing off major intersections and roundabouts in the largest cities of the world back then.

Any skyline models will never been disapointed you....the car is real underated and cheapest monster.... In term of handling and power....I can't effort bugati but I still can get respect even with stock gtr....maybe gtr not the best car but its the safest street racing car.

I love that at 1:05 the camera guy, knowing full well hell have 1 shot to capture this amazing car at speed, cant contain his excitement and giggles.
