Nissan R90CK Le Mans 1990 onboard - Improved Audio
Pole Position - Mark Blundell, #24 Nissan Motorsports International - 3:27.020
This lap was done by a 3.5L twin turbo V8 with the pair of wastegates stuck shut. It produced 1100 bhp with no traction control.
"Every input was pure relfex - things were coming at me everywhere I looked. For about 50 percent of the lap I felt like I was on the verge of a massive accident." -Mark Blundell

One of the best laps in motorsport history
This guy has hands of steel and balls of titanium
Blundell's reflexes certainly saved him.
no wonder sports cars were so popular back then!
Don’t know which has more steel, Blundell’s forearms or his balls. Dude was obviously better suited for brutal speed of Group C vs finesse of F1.
This car is an absolute beast but when you watch the footage the one thing that comes to mind is it could have used another inch and a half of travel. It breaks traction and bouncing all over the place. Could be faster
This has to be the greatest lap in Group C history. Blundell was a God.
Epic car, epic driver, epic lap.
That engine note going through Indianapolis and Arnage….
So many things that could go wrong and it turned out great.
Technicians: OMG! wastegate is broken! no control of overboosting, engine will fail!
I never tire of watching this. 100% geezer driving an unrestricted bomb on wheels.
Los mecánicos: Estoy feliz y enojado
Man one of the best insane lap I have ever seen wow! 👏 The car stick like glue on the track & going so fast still time to flash lights for the slower cars ahead damn balls of steel 👌
En carrera de manos, de bajada y sin frenos...
Look at him fight that car! A total monster & he got it there. Great job
Thats what racing is about pure adrenaline on the limits 💥💥
Balls of steel
literally the le mans Godzilla unrestricted version
spectacular driving performance of a legendary race car. my god, the speed!
