I have the same problem I just call RAC waiting for them. I thought it was battery because yesterday I have jumpstart the car and it worked today. Same thing. One star system fault comes up cannot detect it comes up. Thanks again bro.

The RAC replaced the battery saved me £214 {battery insurance} because stop start qashqai needs an AGM battery. Did something to his notepad told the car change via OBD port. Its fully charged but still says Stop Start Faulty

Couple of other facts that might help people out. If you get the Stop/Start warning while driving, it is more than likely that you are leaving your foot balanced on the clutch pedal. Even the slightest pressure on there will make the system think you are depressing the clutch, therefore engaging the stop/start system. This in turn drains power from that system and lowers the overall battery power. Simply take your foot off the clutch while driving and the system will power its self up again and your car battery will also recharge sufficiently. Second thing, you don't need to press the start/stop button with the key. You simply hover the key over the button so that it can be detected. This happens when your key fob battery loses power. If it happens v frequently. change your key fob battery.

So I have the same system start stop fault, but the car starts ok. Key trick does not work and I changed the remote but that still does not get rid of the fault. Car is only 18 months old so hope I don’t have to change the battery, wonder if its covered by the warranty?

When did this happen? Ours has done this today and it is only 2 years old. Was your battery under warranty?

Hi Scott sweeting, it happened a few days ago.The battery was still under the Nissan warranty.Try the jump leads on the battery first just to make sure it is the car battery.

Can drive when the system fault ??

This happened to me. Luckily I keep jump leads in the car! Will be getting a new battery soon though.

@@carlinio9 i started with a lead from another 🚗 and after a good trip, the battery is charged now, but, that.s a sign of an old battery. Didn't use the car for 5 days.

hi unseenspirit yes the car started and would last the day but the battery would be dead after 3-4 hours.

To jest znany problem Nissana. Akumulator ładuje się dopiero jak ma bardzo mało energii.(macie swoje ECO) Projektanci Nissan spieprzyli to. Najlepiej wstawić kilka rezystorów na przewodach od "-" do ECU (komputera). Wówczas Nissan ładuje non stop akumulator i zawsze się uruchamia.

Got similar issue with my Qashqai 2015 1.6 diesel. Got battery warning light, Red engine check light on. Breakdown and Garage diagnosed problem with Alternator. Got it replaced, both alternator and battery showing healthy voltage, but the dash lights don't seem to go away. Still got battery light on, red engine warning light and start/stop system fault. Don't know what to do.

Oh nooo sorry to hear this. I’m not sure really, if they have been changed or checked, I wonder providing the car starts if it’s a sensor issue. Sorry I couldn’t be much help. Thank you for sharing.

Today appeared the start/stop fault on my j11 1.6 dci Qashqai, but the problem is other, the car turns on normally but when I’m driving with the Eror, after exceeding 2000 revs, the car stops accelerating, the engine stops firing. And when i was stopped the engine witness has appeared in yellow colour. Thanks. I wait for your answer of you have any idea

Hi thank you for watching this video.I phoned the Nissan garage where I brought the car from as it wasn't that old.They told me to try and replace the main car battery. Hope you get the problem sorted.

The main culprit is the CAR BATTERY, replace it, 100% back to normal. happened to me last year cos of battery failure, nothing lese is an issue. Once you replace it with new battery, all back to normal.

Same here replaced the main battery still the same problem

I had my battery changed when the car was about five months old (2017 model) and it still happens. Maybe a bad batch of batteries. I've just taken the battery out and recharged it, still no difference.

Oh blimey, I’m so sorry to hear that.Everyone was telling me it was the battery in the remote.Then I found out it was the Main battery.Really hope you get it sorted soon.

hi jeff, make sure you tell the mechanic to change the type of battery that for car using start/stop push button . this type of battery is very different from conventional type and it is a bit more expensive than normal type, otherwise, your car will stall again within 3-4 months if you use normal type of battery.

Happened to me wenn my battery drained during a break (forgot to switch of the contact. Lights, airco, etc where running 😅). Maybe the battery is getting old.

Happened to me yesterday. The car is new: 2 days old and succeed to make only (!!) 78km. It "died" in the middle of the intersection - lucky me was no heavy traffic and cars could avoid me. I can NOT imagine if this would happen while on highway... Got back to city with the help on the "intervention" car (with paltform). The guy from intervention card said it's the battery and his car was equiped with cables and everything needed to give me 'battery power'. No success. Anyway, the car is back to Nissan dealer waiting to be fixed. I honestly want to get my money back - it's incredible risky and stupid and lame... it has only 78km.. and 2 days!!

Im having a similar issue intermittent just wont start just hear a single click for several attempts of starting, and then the engine will just turn and turn no fire, and then it might kust fire straight up, the other day it wouldn't start so used rac they came out give the starter a few smacks with a big bar it still wouldn't start so we bump started it its rac guy thinks its the starter, it started i drove around for a few hours, and now its starting, im taking it in tomorrow for diagnosis, i have replaced the battery couple of weeks ago so its definitely not that.

@@carlinio9 got it sorted it was a dead glow plug had all of them replaced, also the passenger door wasn't locking hasn't been for some time, the fitter thought that could of been causing battery drain that with the dead glow plug why it wouldn't start, so far so good.

Change the battery in the remote, not the car battery. Happened to me and all i did was change the remote battery and it was sorted.

Glad to hear it was only the remote battery.Unfortunately that didn’t work for us and had to change the main car battery. Thanks for commenting and hopefully people will try the remote first if that worked for you.Thanks again for taking time.😀👍

I've got a trip to drop some shopping to my mum 38 miles away. Someone is coming to help jump start my car (hopefully that works). I don't want to be stranded 38 miles away lol.

Qashqai J11 seems to shorten battery lifetime because of that stupid "smart charging" that never keeps battery full charge..
