It's a killer patrol, I appreciate :) IMHO, there must to be at least 2 inch lift in order to fit king shocks :) gorgeous toy, front & rear arb lockers are awesome. that's a pity that 40" trepadors, possibly deflated to one bar and the car is stucked :) keep doing such patrol videos!:) only the thing I don't like is that A-pillars are cut almost thoroughly.

Sounds like a straight thought pipe, no doubt removed the dpf, cat and blanked the egr. A simple remap takes power to about 330-350ps and 700-720nm. Now with a bigger intercooler and air intake could be 400ps. That with a bigger big turbo 500ps plus is easily possible.

John M ... a remap on an M57 takes power to 330-350? No chance. A remap + decat (usually straight pipe, turbo back) + FMIC intercooler and usually an EGR delete will see a shade over 300bhp on stock turbo. Beyond that you’re into hybrid turbo territory. I drive a 330d M57.

he used a Patrol Y61 3.0 litre gearbox with adapter plate and custom clutch

All I can say it s BAD ASS I got a 2015 Jeep Wrangler done up 35 s tires but I don t have the sound and I miss it

I want to put an M57 in my 80 series. Nobody has done it yet to my knowledge.

The only two things that are wrong with Patrol Off Road are its engine (I'm talking about everything else than 4.2 ones) and its weight. With the BMW engine we have only one flaw, which is the weight, but then again, we have an amazing engine so... I need to have one!

Exhaust is on the side, near the right back tire, you can see it at 0:30 Snorkel is inside the cabine, below the dashbord. :)

@@johnyp2967 possibly because the injectors cost £300 a piece and are a pig to remove and replace, 6x 300 is 1800 for parts, up to 3-4 hours to remove and replace then they have to be coded in so say between £2200 and £2500 job which would write the majority of them off that needed this work which is why you don't see many around now

its a common tune for that type of engine, they get dynod and get those numbers. but that are streetcar numbers. my guess is 200hp at the wheels for this car.

a friend of mine has the same engine setup and it makes more power (330hp and 650nm), but he has the 5 door version and 42(maybe 43) inch tires. It can go everywhere, except when it's too big to fit.
