I've got a 2016 Tekan model, manual... I often give mine a blast as most days I do the same shortish journey to and from work. Any advice on getting the most out of my truck?

Will that be the cause of lack of power in 3rd n 4th in an r51? As my cruise control wo t stay on, it struggles with power going up hill in 3rd and 4th. So would you say the neutral position sensor? Its a 55 plate Nissan Pathfinder r51.

I have a auto 2020 and kicks back the same in about 3rd and 4th gear will this have the same sensor as the manual?

I've got a 09 D40 auto. No throttle pedal but turned it off and back on and it worked for a while. Garage got it and can't find any fault codes. Any ideas

Does this also happen in automatic navaras?

Hello if a D23 light of emergency brake ( brake assist) on dashboard is on and the car does not goes more than 3500rpm is on safe mode? It can be the sensor you show on video( neutral position) best regards, great videos

Hi Des, Firstly I want to say I really enjoy watching your videos, could I ask have you come across similar issues with the D40? I've been having problems recently with the truck cutting out every now and then and lacking power when booting it up hill, I tend to just pull up and switch off and on again and it will be fine for a bit, I have watched one of your previous videos and I'm putting that down to the SCV? but I have also noticed my Cruise control has stopped working and after a bit of google-ing I've found people saying it could be the neutral position sensor in the gearbox.. I just wondered what your thoughts are? 2009 Navara D40 with 191.000 on the clock. Cheers. Chris Moon

SCV buddy you will have to change fuel filter and a fuel pump reset the other problem you have can be the squib in the steering wheel Hope this has helped buddy All the very best Des

@@westyorkshireengineservice9160 Cheers Des that's very helpful thanks. I will get the SCV changed and i have done a fuel filter change a few times now so nice easy job, ill do that at the same time. I did see something about the squib but others have said the airbag light would be on.. anyway not that bothered about cruise control for now I'd rather have her running right first, I just wondered if the two issues I have are connected that's all. Thanks again mate.

Hi there, aus np300 twin turbo auto. Jump in will drive fine through the gears, once it gets past 80kmph and you come back to a stop. When taking off it won’t boost until 2500rpm when it slingshots, throttle response non existent. First occured on a very steep hill climb, oil low warning on dash, also note fuel tank was very low also. No codes.

Mine have hard start in the morning what the problem

Good afternoon my friend here in the Philippines 🇵🇭..my issue with my Navara 4x4 is..as I'm driving at various speeds mostly 60km or faster my engine light turns on and I lose all power down to zero...this is ridiculous because the mechanics that I shared this with say that they need an engine light code to figure it out. But of course it never happens at the mechanic shop right ✅ so I was instructed by other Nissan truck drivers is to disconnect the battery for about 3 minutes to reset the computer and then reconnect the battery and it drives ok until the next time it feels like losing power...any suggestions?

Check fuel control valve - installed on the fuel pump with mega tester and free move of plunger, probably DENSO ( short or long, depends of pump model )

this happens to me almost every 120 to 150kms, I do the reset as you do. were you able to figure out the culprit? its 2 weeks already, and always happen at night that's why i can't bring it to casa. they want it to be at checked at the error condition for them to check the error. I was able to check it myself it was P012B at obd scanner, but i was not able to bring it to casa since im too far from them

Why would the neutral position sensor cause the engine to cut out?

Best guess is because if the car thinks it's in neutral it won't allow you to rev it past a few thousand rpm, hence it will cut back until the revs fall below the limit? Only a guess though..

@@ATOM314159 after doing a bit of homework, it seems maybe the tip of the sensor plunger may wear a couple of mill, pushing the gearstick over to the left whilst driving in pain, will temporarily "fix" the vehicle.....

in neutraul its not under any load at all , in gear its underload , so ecu pumps more fuel and air etc underload , but with dodgy switch will confuse the ecu some times run drive fine dependant on how much of a load you want to put on it . but soon as you put excessive load it will try to shut down . all the best

Had mine 12 months from new and it’s been in 8 times with DPF, adBlue and ECU problems.

same here , had mine for about a year, its done 100,000 km's. DPF signal keeps popping off, tried a forced re-gen, still giving me issues. you have any idea what it might be ?
