Hi great channel i just wanted to ask you a question, my Nissan juke year 2012 the RED engine light came on a couple of days ago could you please tell me if this is a serious issues? I rang a mechanic and he asked me was there more than 100 thousand miles on the clock and it's over that but i don't have a history of the previous owner to see if they put a new timing belt on, the mechanic said it would be almost €600 for a new belt but I'm not sure if I should trust him as he hasn't seen the car, do you have any options please I'd be so grateful 🙏🍀

Hi, thank you for your comment! Red light usually means that it is more of a serious problem. If i were you I'd be getting a second opinion from another mechanic, and if they both say the same thing then that would most probably solve your issue.

It didn't work for me but if I started the car and then used the button it worked .

There’s something you’re missing. I turn the ignition on I don’t get those miles. I hold the button down. Nothing happens there’s something you’re missing telling us or how to see those miles because when I turn ignition on, I don’t see the oil miles.

Yes but it now says 10,000 because it has reset. It’s the mileage that’s left until the next service is due.

Only while showing how long until next service, so that you know what that mileage mean.

Personal preferences, you may just need to reset the light as it goes by kilometres or date

Im still trying to work out how to turn the ignition on without starting the car with a push button start
