The Shell HX7 is a part Synthetic oil. Very good though. Used it in almost all of my cars. Perfect for a turbo motor. Great video.

Hi, very well explained! Do you know by any chance where's the fuel filter is located on this car? I've seen a lot of videos how to change the filter for the 1.5 diesel engine but none of this 1.2 petrol... Thanks

Hi time stamp 3:29 will reveal it is an in-tank fuel filter, there is no outside bolt-on fuel filter for this vehicle, so none to be replaced, I hope that answers your query

With the turbo the killer is not doing regular oil changes, and going past the service interval, as the oil then no longer is providing enough protection to the turbo bushes. Regular oil changes are the cheap way to get long turbo life, along with letting the turbo cool down after a hard run, either by idling for 5 minutes, or by driving gently for the last 5 minutes of a long high speed journey. Otherwise you are out R15- 20k for a rebuilt turbo, even more if you want a brand new one from Renault.

I wanted to ask what benefits do you gain by using engine flush from your experience

Removal of sludge build-up in the engine helps with engine durability, Engine oil stays clean longer and Helps to free sticky rings.

Mr Gary ..I would like to ask you something I am driving golf Mk2 1.8 ..I serviced it in March...I used the helix w15 but before I was using w20 ..last month I replaced both oil pressure censors.now when engine is at normal operation temperature at the idle oil light comes on...and then when driving...after 2000rpm oil buzzer comes on...when I rev it it . goes away...what do you it might be a problem ? Oil too thin...oil pump ?

Oil is probably too thin then see what will happen if it still persists then it's gotta be a oil pump

Change back to 20w50. Check those oil pressure sensors. Might be faulty

Oil grades will not affect the oil buzzer and light, it could be a faulty oil pressure sensor/s, I experienced new faulty units in the past, if not the sensors, remove the sump and check the pick-up sieve on the oil pump, it could be partially blocked, failing that it probably is that the oil pump is worn and not making enough pressure, good luck, I hope you find the cause, keep us informed here. But the 1.6 in particular has timing chain issue. Pang bend valves

I believe it SV_Endless, the client said this one's timing chains and the turbo was already done and it only has 80 odd thousand kilos on the clock.
