NISSAN FRONTIER BUDGET BUILD OFF ROAD 🌎

Here is my 2006 Nissan Frontier Budget Off Road Build. Nissan makes a great platform to create a nice off road rig. These have fully boxed frame, descent interior and the motor is super strong and reliable. I mainly went with the Nissan due to very low acquisition cost (4x4 model), over 15 years same production model ( will never run out of parts availability).

Dude this is awesome! I'm a dad with 2 younger kids and my wife stays home with them. Single income X Seattle suburb mortgage= no ridiculous offroad budget. I hope your channel gets some traction, cause this is what I call a real world offroader. Not some sponsored poser driving around with $150k worth of truck and gear that they don't have to pay for, or are in debt up to their eyeballs with. Great stuff!

@@HardEnduro8 I own a 2019 pro-4x. I bought it new as It's my daily all around slash weekend camp trail vehicle. Mine was 32k and I couldn't see paying 47k for a new comparable Tacoma or a base model Jeep Gladiator. I bought it early 2019 and in late 2019 my wife got a job opportunity to Sydney Australia. Then covid happened and Australia has kept its borders closed and our move suspended. Unless it's a temporary import less than 6 months, all of Australia except the Northern Territory requires all vehicles built after 1989 to be right hand drive. Covid has allowed me to at least delay the sale, break even on it, and at least enjoy it before I sell it. They call these a Navarra over there and most likely will try to get another one of these or a VW Amarok which is a truck not sold here.

@@brandonspies awesome man. I have nothing but good things about my rig. I wheel a lot with jeeps and we all end up at the end of trail, but I still have $35k in my pocket so I smile. The Navarro is nice over there, I think it even has updated body style. Cheers bud

@@HardEnduro8 my cheap build was intended to be my XJ Cherokee. I’ve got a perfect body 2wd limited with a bad engine that I intended to make a manual 4wd and I got a whole second Jeep to make that happen, runs perfect is in amazing shape, just can’t drive it cause it’s got a junk title because it was stolen and written off. Now I’m shifting gears, getting the 2wd just running and sell it and finding an 88 or 89 MJ Comanche and shipping it instead as the Comanche wasn’t sold in Australia and a MJ manufactured before Jan 1 1989 gets around the Right hand drive rule for importation and registration in Australia.

I recently traded it in for a 2020 SV 2wd CC Midnight. Still getting used to the 9 speed tranny, but the new 3.8L v6 is friggin balls dude. 310HP. (about the same torque as the ol 4.0L had). I don't understand why people feel they need to feel popular and show off to their friends and say "Oh I got a Tacoma too!" Mine has a 4 wheel drive!" lol Kids these days are just spoiled rotten. Them toyota trucks are not worth the price they are charging these days, the only reason why they are high prices is because of the popularity of it. That's all that is. Just pure greed for money.

Nice work man. My lady needs an off road rig for her job, which is cool. I've talked her out of jeeps but she still thinks she needs a toyota. I've tried to explain that she can either get a semi- beat stock tacoma or get a frontier and for the same money get the most built truck she could ever want with less miles. Xterras are even cheaper around here but she HATES them. Probably because I already have one.

Wow that is a really badass frontier I have a 2012 Xterra and am wondering how the 3-inch lift feels on the highway compared to stock, and how much different your fuel efficiency is now, as well as engine responsiveness. Most people tell me that it's better to go with aftermarket coil-overs + uca's, and for the rear aftermarket leaf springs +shocks, maybe a shackle, and some driveshaft shims. Does the frontier feel more like a 3/4 or 1/2 ton in terms of how much higher you sit now compared to the factory height? I feel Nissan should've made the Xterra and frontier a little taller from the factory, it seems a bit on the low side. Other trucks like Nissan Patrols or 97 Land Cruisers feel taller and give a better view from my experience that my friends have. The Xterra and Frontier are my favourites, I just wish they were at least 2" taller from the factory.

Hey. No feel at hwy speeds with the lift. I have removed my sway bar and it greatly improved my suspension articulation. But at hwy speeds you have to be mindful of quick changes. The greatest hit for MPG is from my mud tires. These are 33” 10 ply tires. I had to trim a little on lower Edge of fender to prevent rub at full turn. But the trade for these tires are priceless off road. The tires Alone lifted the truck 2”. Than another 3 via suspension and I gained another 1” from bilstein shocks. My front axle now sits 12” off the ground and stock is 8”. Don’t get suckered in with the coil over syndrome. My bilsteins perform awesome at 1/3 of the price.
