I think JDP didnt want to connect that history to his creation. He used that flag only because the car is from Japan and this car culture (JDM) tend to use everything that connect to Japan as where the car culture come. I know its maybe hurt if U or your country has dark past history with that symbol, but hey for your information too, Indonesia (where JDP come from) has dark history with Japan too when Japan colonialized Indonesia before WW2 and leave some dark memories to us. but we move on. I hope you can see that symbol just as sticker that connect to car culture, just like when we see speedhunter sticker or symbol that mean to car culture

In Japan the rising sun is a symbol of good fortune. Much like the hakenkreuz it is a culturally positive symbol which was adopted by the axis. There's nothing bad about the symbol itself.

I don't understand why he's still using the Rising sun flag that Japan used during world war 2. Indonesia Korea China and whole other South-east asia countries had been used as Japan colony and many people died and raped during that time. Which means that the Rising sun flag is a flag that Japan used for a war crime but Why we are still using this flag? Our country's soliders had fought to be independent from Japan and to stop Japan to use the flag that used for their war. So let's stop using Rising Sun flag and remember people who sacrificed for our country independence.
