    The Leaf 40kWh in USA is rated by EPA at 150mi, or about ~240km. Given the lower power output, weight & brick like aerodynamics of the e-NV200 this seems about on point.

    Johann Lindauer the Ioniq is mega efficient. However 28kWh does mean when the heater is on or you drive faster than 120km/h you would lose range rapidly. If Hyundai produced an Ioniq that had a 40kWh battery or larger, I buy one right now.

    very interesting just subscribed to your channel, I have the old version of the Nissan eNV200 and I am about to order the new one. The range is the area I am most interested in, just watched your other 2 videos on the van and can tell you there are a few minor differences the sliding door pockets are new as are the tags for pulling the second row are new (mine were ripped and damaged very quickly) the sat nav/information screen is new, minor things but improvements nonetheless. Thank you for doing this!

    Really nice scientific test, so I make that 265 wh/mile. Looking forward to seeing a long range loop test! Any thoughts on the most efficient speed to drive at? I was thinking is must be around 20mph due to the low wind resistance.

    Hi Bjørn! I totally love your video's. I am opting to buy a nissan E-NV200 to convert to a small campervan. I would like to know how long the heater can run on a full charge. I've seen your 24h challenge in the tesla model 3. Would you like to make a 24h challenge in the nissan E-NV200 as well? Or just a small read out of the consumption of the heater / ac if a 24h challenge is not possible. I'm not in a hurry, I can't buy it yet, have to wait until November.

    200 km of range seems correct, because if you do the same test with the old e-NV 200, you get 130 km of range in summer. In winter it’s just 80 km of range. So the latest version could reach 150 km in winter.

    I don't think your calculation of total available battery capacity in the subtitles is correct. (47,6*0,165+0,8)kWh was actually drawn from the battery, but the 0,8kWh was charged during regen. So you really used only (47,6*0,165)kWh of energy from the battery, that makes only 33kWh of available energy, which sounds incorrect. But then the battery meter might not be accurate, the car does have only 1500km. Let's wait for your regular range test from 100% to almost 0%.

  • @bjornnyland

    @bjornnyland

    6 жыл бұрын

    No, the 33 kWh was incorrect and way too low. The car has a 40 kWh pack and they don't reserve 7 kWh for bricking. When I talked to Nissan engineers and suggested that my estimations led to 36 kWh, they said it's pretty on spot.

    It's not because of its size, but because most of the electricity is produced by burning gas or diesel, it is dirty and expensive, and it doesn't make sence to use EVs. When they install enough wind turbines to produce enough local, clean and cheap electricity It would make much more sence to use EVs.
