I don’t know what alternate universe ya’ll are living in or but anything under 6 seconds is considered fast by the vast majority of people I guarantee you. Sure if you’re a performance enthusiast and live in that world then go for those sub 5 second times. Whether or not accelerating a car that’s over 2 tonnes to 100kph in ridiculously short times is sensible is a whole different story. I think it’s a great thing that EVs with less than silly performance is now proliferating. And if you know what you’re doing on those seriously windy and narrow mountain roads, a decently “slow” RWD EV is going to be more fun than what I would call dumb straight line speed in a neck snapping EV.

eh no, I disagree. in EVs you have no disadvantages with having more power. and with only rwd you also brake on the rear with regenerating power. and with awd you going out of corners way faster

Were they afraid people won't understand leetspeak? Or does their marketing department not understand how leetspeak works? If it was e-4ce (e-fource) it would be ok, but e-4orce (e-fourorce) sounds really funny. 😂

It is not meant to be leetspeak. Japanese translations sometimes gets "weird". For example "Metro" is "Metoro" in japanese.

I know I should not bother answering someone who has Riks on his favorite list. I have the really "slow" 87 kWh fwd variant and have never had any problem with its speed in actual traffic. Then again my ego does not need support by fast cars :-).

What you should know is that personal attacks and lame attempts at guilt by association are never valid arguments. "Then again my ego does not need support by fast cars :-)." So? People are not buying fast cars, phones, computers, etc. solely based on their "egos".

Sure that’s your valid opinion. But back to reality now - Most people would be blown away by anything within the 5 second range. Even those with above average driving skills would struggle to get the full effect of the acceleration other than in a simple straight line. Addiction is a powerful thing.

@@yourcrazybear Not at all, 0-100 times are however fairly irrelevant. Of greater relevance would be the number of charger kWh per 100 kilometres instead of battery kWh per 100 kilometres. Or perhaps 100-0 distance. Or perhaps how your insurer will react when the battery throws a DTC following a mild impact with a foreign object. Or perhaps at what combination of vehicle weight/tyre width/speed index all-season tyres still make sense. Stuff like that.

@@marcg1686 A uk car magazine used to do a 50-70 mph test in the past as a kind of overtaking performance comparison. I’d like to see stats on 80-120kmh maybe for overtakes, or 30-120kmh for sliproad merges, probably those are more applicable to real world driving. But I know Bjorn probably can’t do everything he might like in the time has the cars. Similarly, 0-50 kmh launch at a roundabout or turning out of a T junction would be great for seeing what traction the chassis and drivetrain offers 😂
