Nishkam - Life, Love and Service: A Sikh perspective.

This short film shares the concept of NISHKAMTA -- selfless service. It aims to educate and inspire viewers to learn more about the Sikh Dharam and practise the core values discussed.
The film shows glimpses of volunteers lovingly installing Guru Granth Sahib Ji (the sacred collection of poems and hymns which Sikhs revere as their holy scriptures and eternal Guru) in the Guru's Darbar (Court) and also rare coverage of an 'Amrit Sanchar' (initiation ceremony) in which the participants dedicate their lives to the Sikh Dharam's inner principles (truth, contentment, compassion, humility, optimism) and outer uniform (the 5 Kakars and Dastar).
The filming took place at the Gurudwara served by GNNSJ on Soho Road in Handsworth, Birmingham, UK, in 2012. It captures members of the congregation praying, singing God's praises and serving others - three activities which take place in every Gurudwara around the world. The narration is that of Bhai Sahib Bhai (Dr) Mohinder Singh (Chairman, Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha -- GNNSJ) talking passionately about some of the Sikh Dharam's core principles.
About:
GNNSJ is a multifaceted Faith Based Organisation encouraging the practise of the Sikh Dharam. It has been working in the UK, India and Kenya informally since the 1950s and formally as a registered UK charity (no.508470) since 1978. Bhai Sahib Bhai (Dr) Mohinder Singh is third in line of spiritual leaders of this organisation. For further information email info@gnnsj,org

I have respect fir Sikhs and their gurus especially guru Nanak but the only thing I disagree with is that we are not gods children but gods servents but I’m not degrading their religion each to their own. Peace And love you Sikh brothers and sister and all other humans in the world x
