Fun fact: they arrived late to the venue so they had to use the equipment of other band, so you can see Dave being gentle to a smaller drumkit and Kurt playing Teen Spirit through a fucking Marshall Plexi. He hated that brand but I have to say the guitar sounds badass

@@egadp2474 The book "Nirvana - the true story" by Everett True. He's a journalist that followed Nirvana on tour, especially in the early days. This was a festival and were scheduled to play first, early in the afternoon because they weren't well known in Germany yet. They didn't like it so they made up an excuse (having trouble in customs or something like that), arrived late and the other bands had to cut their sets so Nirvana could play later. You can Google the bill for that festival, they are using the amps and drums of the band Rausch, as it can be seen on the Kick drum.

Wish there was an HD DVD of this, such there´s is of Reading... this show rocks. I haven't seen other Nirvana show where Kurt is having this fun.

I just feel like kurt was the pure embodiment of grunge here. His performance is so pure. Even the overexposure on the puckup seems to perfectly accent the music. So awesome i cant believe i never saw this recording.

You can really hear the Pixies influence in this performance, more so than on the album and in subsequent performances after the song got huge

There are men with cameras around the band so there HAS to be proshot footage of this show
