Two days after the last show in Rotterdam, the band recorded they´re third and last Peel Session. Then returned to home afterwards, and the rest is history...

(This is supposedly John Peel recalling Nirvana, but the internal evidence points to it probably being the producer, Dale Griffin.) "Nirvana did a few sessions at Maida Vale. I think I did their last one, which was still relatively early in their career. Jeff Smith phoned me and said 'you've got a really hot one this week - Nirvana', and to be honest I hadn't really heard of them. The session went well, and I thought they were good. We recorded it, went to the pub for a couple of drinks, then came back to mix it. It was only when their manager, John Silva, came in to the studio and told them that they'd just gone double-platinum in America (with 'Nevermind') that I thought, 'hmm, they must be quite famous then'. "I remember that Kurt didn't react much when his manager told him their album was number one in the States. He seemed to be more bothered about that fact that Fender had delivered six white, left-handed Stratocaster guitars to his hotel room. They must've liked the session though, because they later insisted that I do the live recording at Reading." Some of this must be mis-remembering, years later. 'Nevermind' was released in the UK and US on September 24th, some three weeks after the supposed session recording date. Nirvana were touring in the US in mid-September and arrived (presumably in this country) for a European tour in early November. 'Nevermind' went Gold, then Platinum, in the States during November 1991 but did not get to number 1 on the American charts until January 1992. If the session was recorded on September 3rd, neither the single ("Smells like teen spirit") nor the album had yet been released. If John's (or Dale's) recollection is partially correct then the session would have to have been much closer to the transmission date of November 3rd. It seems a shame to spoil a good story, but the chronology is all wrong.

I dig it but in totality it’s not. But it’s art and music and everyone has a opinion and it’s a beautiful thing to see and share with others on opinion’s and have nerd music fiend chatter and a love for something shared with others that are all listening hard and loving the study of the music and with the love and affection forever and our tribe all growing up together with the music keeping us hungry for more music to listen to and find over time. Just like how during Covid many Nirvana things came out and I and many other people who have been sucked right back into the band and the super love of the bands music etc is hotter than the last 20 years. It’s like I had to put nirvana away after hours 1213 1415 and a kid in the 90s and then to have Covid kind of bring back the nitty-gritty of the world making the music relevant again as an adult and not just a punk kid and the teen angst. Grownup kids and better understandings etc.

Im pretty sure he wrote a lot of songs between 92-94, i mean, the songs that were on in utero were written in 90-92, if they would've released another album the songs would've been from 92-94, i think they just didn't have time to record demos or something like that. Actually, kurt had an entire album already written when he died, his solo album, hole's guitarist confirmed it, one of the songs was do re mi, if you pay attention, the songwriting on that song is really good, better than his past songs
