Ойын-сауық
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Nirvana's 1993 album 'In Utero'.
This is a video i made in tribute & celebration of this amazing Nirvana album. I go in-depth and tell stories some may not have heard. I look at all aspects of the record and talk about specific songs, such as the unreleased Pennyroyal Tea single & more. This was a Nirvana album loved by all. Included are snippets of live audio & interview clips that i have put together with my narrative, as i discuss and recall memories from this album.
This video contains cover songs i played on my acoustic guitar and recorded on pro tools.
Those songs are "Pennyroyal Tea", "All Apologies"

Great tune. The Unplugged version has such an amazing groove. It's the same on the album, but something about the live soft touch and Dave's harmony that gives it that extra bounce.

I absolutely adore ALL things nirvana, In Utero to me is their grand masterpiece....
The best album of the band, the melodies , lyrics and art 🎵
I saw Nirvana twice, the first time they were just one of a few bands playing at a rough punk all ages club in about 1990, and the second time was in 1994 on tour for this record. Although I love this record in my mind it’s impossible to divorce it from Kurts death, so it’s always sad for me. I can’t listen to it without feeling sad.
I scrounged together coins to buy this album. I was 15. Then a few weeks later bought a concert ticket for the show in Rotterdam. Then it got cancelled, shortly after Kurt died. End of my childhood for me in some ways. Love the montage with Francis Bean. I'm a dad now myself,so sorry for her loss.
Was there in the beginning and still here Nirvana 4ever
I turned 30 this year as well Aug 26th. It's such a coincidence to think I was born the same year as my fav album from my fav band. I was literally "in utero" at the time the songs to this album were being recorded in Feb 93

Wow 😳 that's amazing.
I first listened to 'In Utero' shortly after the 'Heart Shaped Box' video started playing. I was 15, and the opening drums on 'Tourettes' really impressed me. I would rewind the tape repeatedly to hear and re-hear that intro. That must have been the Albini sound they so love, and I love it too.
I have always thought that In Utero, following the mammoth success of Nevermind, was one of the courageous albums ever made. It's also one of the saddest and most powerful.
In Utero is an Absolute MASTERPIECE! Front to back a perfect record!🤘🏻🤘🏻
Nirvana were purely passionate about music. I still have my tickets. I was student during the 'grunge' sounds. This man was way ahead of his time musicaly intellectually his head was far superior than any other musicians.
One of the many cool things about Nirvana different albums with different sounds and strengths it's always intriguing when you hear Kurt downing Nevermind.
I love this album it’s basically the band’s “Rubber Soul” it marks a shift in their sound, I imagine if Kurt hadn’t died and the band carried on I imagine that their next record would’ve been their “Revolver”

It would have been a fuckin masterpiece. DO RE MI and U KNO UR RIGHT are phenomenal by themselves. So just imagine. But unfortunately that's all we can do
From the first moment I heard the first song from this album, I knew it was Nirvana's best. And to this day, 30 years later, that feeling has never changed. I only wish they could have gone on and produced more of this magical, musical perfection.
The image on the CD is burned into my brain. I remember seeing it all the time in mine and my friend's CD books. Such a great record.
L'album que j'ai le plus ecoutè au lycèe et avec lequel j'ai appris la guitare. Merci Kurt Krist and Dave.
Thirty yrs ago plus 5-6 months, January or February of 1994 , I was 23yrs old and bought this album on cassette, I loved my JVC 3-head tape deck + Pioneer 100wpc stereo Amp. I loved In Utero from the moment I heard the 1st track and this still remains my favorite Nirvana album to this day. I still have my original In Utero cassette tape, still listen to it on a custom restored Kenwood KA-7100 amplifier w/my same JVC TD-V661 3-head tape deck and sounds as good now as it did 30 yrs ago. I always loved that they put a graphic of the suggested TREBLE & BASS settings for your amp/receiver/tuner on the insert. Thank you, Kurt.
Hard to believe it's been almost 30 years (as of the time of writing this) since In Utero was released. I'd actually been re-listening to it in my car just recently, without the connection that it's been 30 years. Insane. I remember a lot of the drama surrounding it when it was first released, and a lot of the criticism aimed at Steve Albani by "rock journalists" and the music industry in general. Those f*ckheads needed to understand that this album wasn't for them - it was for Nirvana and Nirvana fans. In the grand scheme of things, this is one of my favourite albums of all time, and most definitely my favourite Nirvana album of all time. And that ad featuring Bobcat Goldthwait - it's pure gold.
30 years ago, my buddy and I raced home from school, grabbed our bikes and rode across town to the record store to buy In Utero on release day. We were blown away by how powerful every song sounded. Albini was the perfect choice

Took me a minute to really appreciate in utero but man I love this album and all the emotion connected to it
Listening right now. Rock on all! 🤘
I absolutely love in utero, it's brutal and beautiful. Sincerely I think it's genius and so raw, I loved it instantly and I was very proud of this record as a true rock n roll fan because of it's heaviness, but still being a mainstream record. It's one of those albums that is just a pure gift, a pure joy..... I already ordered the super deluxe 5 cd version of the 30th anniversary of in utero. Last thing, those record executives are deaf, dumb and blind, thank God Kurt stayed true to his vision.
One of the greatest albums I am a huge fan of Nirvana
I used to get my ass kicked when I would say IN UTERO was better than NEVERMIND. I still stand by this ✊️
My favorite Nirvana album. So wild that it’s been this long!
Love this thanks for putting it together.. its a shame the record label is so lazy and stingy they can't put together a professional documentary on it... its sad the fans have to make it with such limited resources, when the labels are filled with vaults of stuff probably.. and Courtney has some stuff too.
I can't believe I've gotten that old 😅 Peace and Lots of Love from Mumbai India ❤️💯👌✨
Just started sophomore year of high school when in utero came out. Remember buying the tape and playing it not stop. I feel very fortunate to have been young in the nineties. Although we didn’t appreciate it at the time, the nineties were a special time. Nirvana was the sound track of this time in my life and the early nineties overall.
I bought this album and The Melvins Houdini album when they first came out on September 21, 1993......Happy 30th to both!!! R.I.P. Kurt and Lorax
Feels like yesterday when I was listening to the 2013 mixes on the 20th Anniversary edition as a 13 year old boy. Still my favorite Nirvana album.

omg this was insanely good wow
Thank you for making this💟I reconnected with Nirvana and their music has helped me more recently, come to terms with myself more honestly. To add, similarly, as Kurt mentioned certain themes/subjects that correlate to getting out of one's system resonate. When it comes to Nirvana listening to their music again and also seeing how other people are inspired by them, feels very kindred.
Excellent video!... How I missed out on the Pennyroyal tea LP is beyond me? -Because I live in Washington State not far from Seattle. Their Magnum Opus IMO and it sounds as if they thought the same. That sound. Those songs. The musicianship and the passion from all 3.
Such a beautiful and raw album and displays so much emotion also great video you really did your research and it shows!!
