Cool video, when I saw the 1991 image of him performing with the spiral shirt and brown coat, I didn't know it was called an undercut, but I associated it with a Mohawk by observation

You think Kurt's decision to rock the bowl cut was a conscious one. People associated grunge, along with the long, unkempt hair to the culture connected to it - heroin. He had to metaphorically and literally clean up his act because of the whole Vanity Fair article threatening his chances at parenthood. Maybe marketing had a bit to do with it as well. So he (by force) was clean throughout the summer/early fall and put on a bit of weight.

When you’re talking about Kurt Cobain’s hair, being slightly longer in the back, it looks like he had a bowl cut and let it grow out When you’re talking about how it looks like he has a little bit of a buzz cut on the side he could’ve been giving him self haircut and fucked up That’s what I suspect

Just curious but what would you recommend to get the layers that Kurt had from the 1991 Paramount show? Right now my hair is kinda like the length that Kurt had when he had brown hair. But dude I’ve just stopped cutting my hair because every time I go to get a trim they always cut it way too short and I have to start all over again. But because of that now, it just poofs out too much, kinda like Krist’s hair from 1990 when he was growing it out
